Are you just hanging around?

I'm not hanging around but have finished all of the honey dos and am now into really "important" things around the ol' homestead. The weather has been pretty chilly for outside work or else its rained but have most of the yard cleaned up. Nothing done on the 5er yet.

The biggie yesterady - order a rebuild kit for my shop air compressor. It works just fine except it started blowing over the winter oil due to a scratch on a cylinder wall. Hope I can hone it out. Have a 3" hone on order too.

Tuned up my JET table saw o it will now cut straight.

Made a box joint sled for my router table but don't have any decent wood to make any boxes. Gotta wait a while on that project.

I cleaned the garage out and washed the floor on Sunday (epoxy coated).

Refinished a 60 year old card table (now that's digging for things to do).

Refinished a very large stained frame window.

Then there was that 1040 painful form that I had to fill out

For me it's just normal maintenance work except for my new job as park delivery man. Since our manager was deemed non esential she was sent home a month ago (we are still paying her) and we divided up the duties amoungst the board of directors. I got the deliveries. Fedex and UPS each have at least one and some times two trucks that drop off packages at our lot daily and then I take a golf cart with a trailer and deliver to the other 114 active sites. Once a month I also get to read the electric meters. Luckily I don't have to calculate everyones bill and make collections.

We are just hanging out at home. Doing about what we normally do except for eating out.
The shop is booming. A lot of men settling at home with nothing to do ordering toys. I talked to Bobby Hart of Hart Rifles this morning. He is in upstate Ny and he said the same thing.

I'm fortunate to be able to work-from-home with my job (Information Technology for a financial organization). So at least 40 hours a week are dedicated to that.

Went to the grocery store 3 times in 4 week. Haven't put any gas in the small pick-up or the dually in 6 weeks now. Mowed the grass with my small John Deere lawn mower, but haven't removed the snow blower off the bigger one yet and replaced the mower deck. Too lazy I think.

Cleaned out the fire-pit, have the camper all unwinterized and dressed and ready to go, but have no where to go. We've been spending time in it again, sleeping in it at night again. ... and oh ... got one propane tank refilled.

Beyond that, well ... there's a LOT of stuff I could be doing, but ... why?

Sounds like some folks aren't bingeing out on TV reruns

Just added a new little 87 buck project for next week - replace the ice maker in our Samsung S&B fridge. From the looks of Amazon and eBay, this is a regular occurrence on these larger french door, bottom freezer units. More junk from that far off Asian place we love to bash.

We will probably stay self isolated for a lot longer with only an occasional trip to the store to pick up on-line grocery orders since the COVID cases in our Upstate NY town are still growing at 6-10 per day.

Just Waiting For Parks To Open

Just retired last November. Started school for a Massage Therapist, but then that shut down for a few weeks 'til they got the online thing going. The DW is loving it because she's laid off and she's the only person I can practice on. Installed new LED taillights, RVLock, Back up/observation camera, Dish TV and Timken bearings. Found an annual checklist and really went through everything. The 5er is washed and polished. Had to reschedule some camping dates due to the stay home order. The first big trip is going wine tasting at the end of next month, so I'm really hoping we won't have to cancel.

Sitting in our class C instead of the Montana.
We were in Mexico and came back early, the same day Missouri closed casinos. We always stay at Hollywood in St. Louis the night we fly back .
Luckily we had the C packed for Alaska and friends put the batteries in and grocery shopped for us.
So we’re sitting at our spot on our friends farm.
Fishing, listening to turkeys , walking and waiting.
Pretty sure Alaska will be a no go but not going to cancel till June 1 .

With the shelter at home order, it took a little while to sent up a new routine. It has been finely tuned and works like a swiss watch.

Eat, sleep, poop, repeat.

We have been real busy with the new Montana 3931FB. We have all of our stuff from our other trailer, all of the kitchen is done and the bedroom. Wife is still going thru the clothing that she and I want to take with us. Have the tool box installed. Fits like a glove. Now waiting on my 50# LPG tanks so I can go up to 100# of LPG. about another week for delivery on that.

Started on working on the bikes for this summer time rides in the smokey mountains. Need to do oil and services on all the cars and truck.

As far as the house is concerned its sitting empty until the new owners move in.

So we are keeping busy just want to be gone for a while so I guess that has to wait for a little while longer.

Hey Dave,
If you run out of things to keep you busy, maybe you could go over to our place and do a spring clean up of the yard. We're still stuck in GA.

Bingeing on Netflix and eating out often, that is order online and drive thru pick up. This week is birthday week. Different food each night. Most places have online apps. Last night was Grand daughters, tonight Grand son, tomorrow is mine, Thurs is daughter and SIL, and grand finale on Fri is DW.

Order groceries once a week online from Kroger's and pick up in parking lot. Occasionally fill a propane tank at the feed store. But the vehicles mostly sit. Too bad as the fuel is so cheap now.

Daughter drags us out for a walk each day so we get some exercise, but I have still packed on some lbs. S'pose it could be all that fast food, but I need to get all that Chick-fil-a since there won't be any when we get home. Gotta get more of them in NY.

Good news is in the wind though. I see they're opening up golf courses in NY. so we're starting to shape up some plans to head north soon.

Just heard GA is opening up the barber shops. That makes me smile.

Jim. I'll wander up to your home near that inland sea as soon as my yard is finally cleaned and the 5er is ready to travel. With a couple exceptions when the temp got in the high 50s, there hasn't been much outside work done. It was a bracing 28* in Greater Uptown Ballston Lake this morning and tomorrow is going to be about the same with strong winds predicted. I was able get bitten by a deer tick and have taken the pills after one day of yard work (or maybe after one of the pups brought it in)

I did sneak out and resupplied my beer cache, dressed complete with N95 mask and gloves and meeting the clerk in the parking lot. Found the Wally World, Home Depot, Price Chopper and TSC parking lots full as I drove by. Shelter in place rule - HA! We are as are both in that age bracket so doubt either will go much of anywhere for a while.

Stay where you are, a bit added plumpness doesn't really natter

I’m just hanging around the hospital this morning after I had a stint put in my heart. Did it at 10:30 and back in the room by 11:30. No pain none, nothing to it. If you have a heart problem by all means DO NOT ignore it. By brother had open heart surgery 3 months ago and now he is back better then ever.
If you develop anything you remotely think might be a heart problem do not wait got to your dr or the er. I have no damage because I didn’t wait.

Thanks guys. I’m home. My doctor planed for me to spend the night but after he came in to see me and I was doing so well he sent me home. I can’t believe how well I feel, no pain, soreness, not tired, nothing.
If you need this procedure done hesitate. I had one artery 90% blocked and no symptoms until a little over a week ago. If I hadn’t went to the doctor I would hate to think what would have happened. If you have chest pains or any heart warning go to the doctor. You may not get a second chance.

Beautiful area. We started our camping career in a pop up at Moffitt Beach when the kids were little. Bought it for $200, bare minimum with just the two bunks. That was in the 70's and we've been towing something ever since.

We're hoping to leave around the 1st also and hope to swing over to Charleston for a couple days with our 2 yr old Grand daughter before heading North.

Safe travels to you.

Had bypass surgery April 24, 1996. No problems since. Dr told me the bypass would probably last 10 years so I guess 24 years I am on borrowed time. I also have a bypass in my right leg. Life is good Enjoy it while you are ALIVE
