Gray water holding
We recently bought a 3120Rl and love it. Problem is the gray water from the island kitchen sink has no where to be held. I have been roving for nearly 50 years and never had this problem. Any ideas? I'm not a fan of letting the water drain on the ground

gray water holding
If I recall right from last summer during a showing of one, it has an 88gal single tank, there is a Y connector between the kitchen sink and the bath sink and shower drain over the axles, check to see under if the lines is broken or maybe not even connected.

Sounds like the drain valve for your second gray tank is open and not holding water in the tank. That happened to us our first time with our new 3120.

Thanks, I crawled underneath and did not find a second gate. It appears the drain is plumbed directly to the discharge plumbing

Weeds, trust me, there is a second valve under there. Not easy to find but it is located on the ODS in front of the wheels but behind the leveling jack. You can only see the the black T-handle not the valve or drain line.
Sorry I don't kave a picture to help.

Thank you I'll climb under there again but looking at the specs it says it has one 88 gal gray water holding tank. This is 2019. But be sure I'll look tomorrow

So what your saying is if you run water in the shower or bathroom sink it does not come out the 3” main drain, but if you run water in the kitchen sink water comes out the main?
Is it possible the pull handle in front of the wheel had come off. Look for a small hole that the pull rod might have come through.

That is correct. I'll look for a hole in the drain pipe.

The galley drain valve should be on the ODS by the axle protruding from the frame web.

I have seen Montana's with that drain handle in three places. Most common is in front of the wheels either coming out of the frame or behind it. Next is behind the wheels, rare but possible. Even more rare, but I've seen it myself is one that had the handle in a small door directly over the wheels.

Weeda says it has one tank (88gal). It would only have one valve pull handle??

I did crawl under it and checked again. There is no other release garen. It is plumbed from the kitchen drain through a 1.25 pipe to the 3 inch drain line. I will call dealer in the morning

Also, are you sure the manual says 88 gal. tank? All the specs I see when searching have something like: Waste water 49 gal then gray water 88 gal. These are not tanks, I don't think. For the last 13 years they have always had 2 gray tanks. In this case they would total 88 gal. An 88 gal. tank would weigh around 650 lb. I am not sure there is support for this in one tank.
An 88 gal tank just seems incorrect - tho I have been wrong once or twice in my life!!!!

Montana has *NEVER* used a single large tank in the 20 years they have been around, Trust the people here when they say there is a separate tank for the galley. It seems the handle has fallen off, leaving the valve in an open position, and you can't find where it should be. You (or the dealer) will have to drop (or cut into) the coroplast to locate the valve. If the handle came unscrewed, a common problem, replacements are available.
The brochures are often misleading. Grey water capacity is one of them. The total capacity is correct but it is comprised of two tanks.

The manuals state that it is a single grey tank but is actually two 44 gallon tanks. NOT AN 88 GALLON TANK! They are two separate tanks and one handles the grey water from the galley sink and the other handles the shower and bathroom sink/s. In most cases the pull handle for the galley grey tank is in front of the drivers side set of wheels. It is on a rod that extends out of the bottom of the belly with the T handle on it. We did have one Montana that had that pull handle between the tires on the drivers side. It is there, believe me just keep searching. Another error for the dealers PDI session.

Our Galley tank pull is behind left rear tire, and like most, difficult to see, but comes out of the frame. There might also be a sticker on the skirting indicating where the pull is located. If the water drains out constantly, the valve is open, and if the water backs up into the kitchen sink, the valve is closed. Our rig specs said 53 gallons black and 93 gallons grey, but actually the grey is also 53 gallons and the galley is 40 gallons.

I have a 2019 3120RL. There are two gray water tanks. The kitchen gray water drain valve is on the drivers side between the center jack and the forward drivers side tire. They did a great job of hiding it, keep looking it's there.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my gray water issue for the kitchen. After endless attempts I did locate the T handle to close the valve. The issue now is I had the 5th wheel coated and the coated the rod so now off to get Emory cloth to see if I can get it clean. Thanks to all once again.

Sounds like the original problem is a poor dealer walk thru.
