Travel to New Mexico

This is not intended to be political it's just to help our members if they are traveling here or thru here. Not only is the state closed down except for essential businesses, but many of those essential businesses are also facing closure due to a high number of infected staff. In our part of the state Albertsons Market in Carlsbad and Sam's Club in Roswell have had to close from today until December 2nd and those are just two in our part of the state that I'm aware of. Albuquerque had almost a thousand new cases yesterday alone so closure of essential businesses is just getting started.

Well, I have reservation in Los Curses from 12/8-12/10 at Hacienda RV Resort. We will be stock up and don’t think we will need anything. I hope

Be aware that at the present time the Los Cruces area has one of the highest, if not the highest covid rates in the state. 10,900 cases and 149 deaths and only 100,000 people live there. It seems to have to do with how close they are to El Paso that you see on the news almost daily.

Unfortunately that’s our 500 mile day coming from Yuma AZ, from their we go to Kerrville Tx and I’m not about to stop or stay anywhere near El Paso.

Thanks for the info, will just stick around the RV.

We frequently stop in Deming. Only 1600 cases and 20 deaths.

Deming, Lordsburg, Wilcox, many places to dry camp; any would be a better choice than Las Cruces or El Paso.

This is the reason we haven't gone anywhere this year. You can't tell if the state is open or not. Not much to see when you are stuck in the RV.
