how much HP and Torque
I'm looking for a RAM, 6.7 diesel, 4x4 etc. A Chevy sales man, (who has a 2019 that I liked) told me that the 6.7 Cummings in 2500 units don't have the same specs as a 3500 unit (hp and torque). I don't want to believe him so who can set the record straight?
I'm sure a chip can make the difference. Or is it the year of the model that makes the difference. My 5th er is 13,000 lbs before I get in it.

The HO option on Rams is only available on 3500 and above, both SRW and DRW models, and only with the Aisin.
For what it's worth, the 2020+ Fords are 475 HP/1050 TQ. We own a 2020 Chevy, that we LOVE, but considered getting a Ford. I don't follow Ford forums faithfully, but there a lot of people that are having great results with the 2020 Fords.
All of the new trucks are absolute beasts.
One final comment about the Ford and the Chevy. The 10-speed transmission in both of these models make for a GREAT towing experience. We pull our 5er loaded at 15.5K in 10th gear all day long, and have ZERO issues. But, when it does need to downshift, the Chevy (I can't speak for the Ford) downshifts one gear at a time, until it finds the gear that it needs to pull the hill. What you end up with there then, is a pulling experience that is very smooth, and very quiet. The engine isn't revving to the moon the first time that it downshifts. The 10-speeds are the ultimate for pulling, IMHO...

Not available on the 2500/... Only the 3500 with the Aisin...Open the hood.. if the tranny handle filler is on the driver's side, it's the Aisin..

That would be correct, get the 3500 SRW with the HO. Just as an example my 18 is 385/930 tq. With my tow tune I run 425/1360 at the flywheel, to the ground using the standard 18% loss through the drive train 348/1116. Take in that these numbers are at 65% engine load in 6th gear pulling. At 70% engine load Aisin will shift to 5th gear keeping you right at 1780 rpm with 4:10 gears. 18% loss is a standard but I’ve experienced more of a 16% loss to be true. I said all this to say just as an example emission intact tune does wonders and my Aisin works flawlessly.

Both versions have the power to do the job. Anymore it is the weight carrying capacity that is the issue. (Not to start that discussion again)
As far as six, eight, or ten speed transmissions, I personally don't care for the truck shifting all the time. It certainly doesn't add to it's longevity. With this kind of torque they'll pull with the gear they are in. I don't care for my 3.42 gears but the truck still pulls fine.
