Unusual Furnace issue
I have a 16 Montana 2791RD. While staying in it last weekend we noticed that the furnace would not maintain temp, much less get temp above 50 degrees inside. The furnace is running and fired. I can feel heat out of the exhaust. But the air coming out of the registers is cool and even even the duct hoses are cool to touch. Furnace ran for 30 hours constant before going through a full 30 lp tank.
So i have fuel, heat out of exhaust, air flow through registers, dbut minimal heat coming inside.

Single pane windows or dual? Now the obvious remote tech questions, any windows or vents open? Can you feel any cool drafts anywhere inside your rig? Are your furnace air intakes blocked or restricted air flow? Floor register ducts may be restricted preventing more vigorous airflow. Any one of those things will reduce the furnace heating efficiency thru blocked heat or heat escaping almost as fast as you are making it. RVs are notoriously "leaky" when it comes to either heat or A/C. Just few thoughts.
Sounds like your furnace is not the issue unless it is cycling off prematurely. it's not designed to run continuously, it takes "breaks" to avoid overheating its own components. Too often and it cannot even get up to proper operating temperature. Too long and it can burn out.

1. Check your stair return vents. Your furnace is designed to recycle cabin air. Much easier and more efficient for heating cabin air.
2. Look behind basement walls for a duct that may have fallen off. Be aware, there is one that goes from the furnace to the underbelly to heat the pipes, tanks and valves.
3. Remove your burner and clean it. Check the incoming gas tube for spiders and mud dobbers.

The 'return grills' are nothing more than a place for the air to get pushed out, allowing the heated air in.
The "returns" are not ducted to the furnace.
