Pullrite Superlite 2600 hitch questions

I 'm investigating this hitch to use in a ford short box . The trailer is a 2017 3720. My concerns are : what is the difference between the 2600 and the 2600 ISR? Also, can the king pin adaptor be used with the stock Morryde pinbox? Are there any warranty issues involved concerning the frame?

ISR stands for Industry Standard Rails....meaning it will fit most old style rails out there. I have no answers on your other questions. Email PullRite...they are awesome and should help!

We used two pullrite hitches over the last 11 years and over 150,000 miles. We've worked for Fish and Wildlife in the winters and had our trailers in and out of places folks didn't think we could manage. The only reason we got a secound hitch was that the 2017 weighed too much for the old hitch. All of our trailers have had Morryde pin boxes and they have worked well together with the adapter made for that pinbox.

John, the only difference is the one is a Single Point attachment vs rail mount. I have the 2600 1P and like it for getting our hitch in and out. Lippert, when questioned, said they don’t test hitches. I have a new 3230CK on order and was concerned. If it wasn’t for my kayak rack, I believe I would keep towing this way. But my US Rack comes real close (touched once) and I am moving to a long bed Ram. I will still be using my Pullrite 2600, but with the adapter behind the king pin. And yes, it works just fine with the MorRyde pin box. With the RotoFlex, it needs a stabilizer. If you look at the Pullrite vs the Andersen (per Andersen), the Andersen will potentially fail when the grade gets too steep. Also, for me, the Pullrite is easier to hookup - better visibility. The ball is on top and the funnel is on the bottom. The Pullrite weighs about 20 lbs more, but is all steel. And, you can go to Pullrite and see how all of the hitches (theirs and the competition) faired under ASTM testing. The Andersen is a fine hitch, but they said it would not work on our driveway because of the grade. This is what has worked for me, YMMV.

I have an auto slider like the Pullrite, and use my Morryde pinbox.

To answer my own question,Pullrite told me after my inquiry, that no special accessory needs to be mounted on the Morryde pin box to use their 2600 or 2400 pullite ball hitch.

John, are going with 1P or the bed mount? I really like this hitch for a number of reasons. First, it weighs a little more than the Andersen but is made of steel. Second the ball is on top, opposite of the other one and as such is easier to attach with my bed camera (for me, anyway). Third it will handle a wider range of conditions than the other one. And last, you don’t have to mount a lever on your hitch. I will say, the Andersen release would be easier if I didn’t have my bedstep. With it, I just step on the bedstep and release/engage it. No worries about high hitching. You are either connected or you aren’t.

I like the 4 point better than the 1 point mainly because I think it looks more like what I'm used to and I think 4 points of anchoring sounds safer than just one. First though, I have to find a new TV in the next few months after I know that big brother will allow us to travel again.
