12v bulbs
Hello, this is my first post hope that I'm doing it right. My wife and I have a 2012 3400RL and this morning the dome light over the dining table failed to come on. Both bulbs were blown and black. The number is CEC1295 and from China of course. Would anyone have an idea of the replacement bulb? Sure would appreciate it. Can't believe both went out at the same time. Checked the voltage with my meter, just over 13v.
I have a 50A surge guard and nothing else seems to have a problem. Happy trails to all.

Hi Bob. There is never a good explaination as to why bulbs blow when they do. Weak element, bad production run, etc. And as far as being made in China, well.....even bulbs marked "GE" are made in China. Those bulbs should be available at any RV supply dealer, or most automotive supply houses. Or, if you want to go high-tech, replace with the new LED bulbs.

If the bulb is not LED, Walmart or any auto parts store should have a replacement that works. For me, the round ones are 1076s and the flat ones are either 912 or 914. Would double check the wiring at the light to ensure good connection before replacement

Auto parts stores are a good source for bulbs. Fortunately for me if one doesn't have it I check another store; I have an Autozone, Pep Boys, O'Reilly, Napa and a Radio Shack within 3 miles of my house.
I don't know about a replacement number but if you call ahead and ask for the CEC 1295 (12 volt), I'm sure one of them will have it. They cost a couple bucks. I don't know if they are sold in pairs or not.
Bulbs are just one of those things, some have big problems and some don't, but they are supposed to be pretty durable. If you travel a lot, the jouncing and bouncing may have something to do with failure but these bulbs should be able to sustain that. Make sure things are nice and tight to minimize movement - make sure power is off when you do this. My bulbs last a while, but we don't go often or far enough to provoke failure.
btw - higher than 13 volts is the typical measured voltage for things that are 12v. In fact, I find that if I am measuring less than 12.5v, then there may be a problem with the battery or charging system. Funny how that works. In fact, it's been my experience that all DC batteries measure higher than what's stated.

1295 is a correct number... I had to order them through the auto part store...they are not very common, so you may want to order extra ones for future...
Good luck and welcome!!!!
