Truck Toppers

I have wondered if they make a truck cover that could be used while towing the fifth wheel. I did searches on the internet without finding any results; then I seen one! When I was at the RV store the other day I saw someone who had a hard cover on their truck which looked like it was made to use while towing. IT only looked like half of a topper. I would assume that the back half may come off or that it might be made as a soft top. It also had what looked like an opening where the hitch goes.

Does anyone know anything about these kinds of truck toppers?

Who sells them, etc....?
Anyone know of any web sites for them?

I have the ExtangRT, it's a roller and works fine, lots faster than one that snaps: http://www.extang.com/docs/extangrt.html

We also have the ExtangRT and it works great. The bars fold with the topper and stored together. I have not tried to use it part way as I role it up and use the snaps to secure it. A hard top would be very close to the pin on a Montana and may snag when making a turn on an angle.

I have the rollnlock top and have been satisfied with it for 5 years. You can stop it in 5 different positions and it locks with a key.

We use the Pace Edwards. It locks every 12" so you can open it as far as you need to. Works great for us, and improves gas mileage when not towing and closed.

I have the roll-n-lock also and this is the 2nd truck and its great but they are water restant not water proof,, but it will slide rite over the hitch so you never see it ,, also when we tow its in the 1st latch spot so the fire wood is dry when we get there ,,, john

Thanks for all of your suggestions! All of the products look very nice. I ordered one like this. Question for hasics, when this is folded towards the front of the truck, does it get in the way of the fifth wheel or do you have to take it off?

silvertwinky when this is folded to the front it does not get in the way of the fifth wheel and when not towing every thing stays dry.
