My wife and I just purchased a 2004 297RKS Mountaineer. We were looking for a RV to put on a lot where we fish near the coast. Well we found this Mountaineer. The stickers were bleached and faded no big deal and it hadn't had a good cleaning on the outside in a while. But the inside was in fantastic condition. I have been around RV's most of my life. My parents bought a brand new Shasta trailer in 1968. When my kids were very young we bought a Aljo trailer that I completely rebuilt from the ground up. So I had a good education from personal experience on what to look for. I'm not an expert just a student that has learned a lot from the school of hard knocks. Anyway long winded I know we found this Mountaineer by Montana and we were blown away how nice it was and had been maintained on the inside, it had all of the paper work from any and all of the service and repairs it has had over the years. I have started to clean and wax the outside. I will send before and after pics when I'm done. Hope everyone is safe and enjoying there down time.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Forum. Rv’s do pretty good on the inside except for water and mice. Outsides of RV’s always takes a beating.

Welcome from AZ. That school of hard knocks can be a tough way to learn, but it sure sticks with you. Enjoy
