Broke Monte now whole again

I recently posted about how I caught a steel column leaving storage and pulled the rear cap loose. She is now whole again. Took it to Coach Specialist of Texas in Mansfield, TX (suburb just south of DFW). They did a great job. I can now personally recommend them if you need any major repair in this area.

Service rep mentioned they replaced the Montana decal. I ask where they got the decal from. He said directly from Keystone. Interesting.

Wow, it looks great, Bill. And it didn't take too long, either. Good to see you're back on the road so soon.

3 weeks from the day they got it, worked the estimate, submitted to insurance, got approval for payment, and completed repair. Would have been faster but for the July 4th holiday. Except for the initial contact with my insurance carrier, they handled it all. Very happy with the entire process. Except of course my dumb mistake in the first place.

Bill I notice your unit is a 2007. For a 10 year old unit it has maintained it's shine very well. Do you keep it in a garage? Maybe a secret wax.
The front and back caps are the hardiest to keep from fading. Yours still looks great. Glad they did did work to your satisfaction.

It is stored in a covered, but not enclosed, storage facility. You can see in the "before" picture that the rear cap was a little faded. But they completely removed the rear cap, did all the fiberglass repair, and painted it. The front cap is also slightly faded but still looks pretty good. I have nevered worked up enough gumption to attempt to wax it.

Do you have any idea how they re-attached the back wall to the sides? My unit has the back wall about 1 inch pulled back. My dealer re-attached it a few years ago but I don't think he got it all the way. Then this summer it pulled back out. No gaps, but it no longer quite overlays the fenders on the sides, so I have to fill it with caulk.

Have no idea how they attached it. I had it taped and strapped when I dropped it off. And it looked new when I picked it up. With multiple tears in the fiberglass they had to have taken it completely off to repair it. But you can’t tell they ever did.
