New 3750FL

Hi all,
DW and I have been camping since the early "80's". Started in a tent, then a Coleman pop-up, then a 32 ft Holiday Rambler TT, and just traded our 2008 Carri-Lite for the 3750FL. Saw it a few weeks ago at the Austin RV show, and had to have it, plus had some issues with the Carriage, which I won't get into here. Really looking forward to gain, and hopefully share some knowledge on this forum where I can. Looks like some great folks here.

Welcome to the MOC. If you have not picked up the rig yet, be sure to have the dealer check that the recall items have been addressed. There are three specific ones that I have dealt with, fridge (Norcold), axle support and if you have an auto-transfer switch for a built in generator, there were some factory lug issues. Don't be shy about asking questions, there is a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise here at your disposal. And, lastly, nice rig, don't know what it about your choice, but I do like it!! (See signature for a hint!!).

Thanks for the warm welcome. To Bingo, guess I was lucky on the recalls, as the manufacture date on the 3750FL (11/17/10) was late enough that none applied, although I did check the serial number on the Norcold just to be sure. Hopefully will get it out for the first time this weekend for just a "shakedown" trip, and to get familiar with everything.

Again, thanks for the welcome and the great forum

Congradulations!!!!!!!!

Jackie and I are scheduled to pick up our new 3750FL from Sonnys RV in Casper, WY on April 29th. We will be full timers for at least 3 years. I will be tied down with my job till then so we will be in one spot for a while but after that---- we are free.

Someone on another forum told me to keep an eye on the slideout verticle seams - they might need additional sealing from rainwater. Should not be too big a problem now since we will be in the high desert in western Wyoming but may be an issue once we start moving.

Any suggestions or advice on things to ask or do during the orientation would be greatly appreciated. We plan to spend one or two nights in the dealers campground to get acquanted with our new baby before running over to Boulder, WY where we will be staying for a while.

What problems has the 3750FL model historically had?

We have had a 23' Winnie Aspect for 5yrs si I am pretty up on RV systems. (Also lived aboard a 35' sailboat for 11 yrs, very simular systems plus salt water problems)

The other post said:

"If the inside corners are accessible, keep an eye out for any dampness in the very outside corner. None of the corners on ours are accessible -- all have built in items in the inside corners... The outside slide end panels are fiberboard which will wick any moisture. So watch for any softness or sponginess on the bottom outside corners.

As a preventive measure the repair folks said to run a bead of silicone caulk along the trim piece on the outside corners."

Congrats on the Monty, I also recently got a 3750FL. Just like you saw it at an rv show and had to have it. My wife was really pushing the issue!!! Looking forward to having a place to gather more then 3 or 4 people inside. Im going to try and take mine out this week for an overnighter to find the bugs. Let me know how yo make out and if there is anything I should be looking at on mine.
Safe and happy trails

Hi

During our orientation last week on our new 2012 3750FL we could not get the front airbed to work. Opened it up , swung the two skinny legs down, inflated the matress and.......crossways the matress was not supported for about 2 feet, turn it 90 degrees and the ends rested on the armrest & looked like a banana. What does the airbed suppose to look like, instructions I saw showed two bars that rested on the floor vs the two skinny legs we have??????? Did Keystone install the wrong couch????? Havn't gotten an answer from the dealer yet.

This....... plus half the manuals were missing, a defective clothes dryer & a few other issues have turned our orientation into a not so pleasent experience so far. Hopefully it gets better.

Any info on the bed would be appreciated.

You would think that they would have fix the problem in the 2012's. We have a 2011 and the air bed is the wrong size. I tried to find my old posts regarding this issue, but could not. Contact the air bed manufacturer and they will swap it out. Measure yours before calling so they can make sure if you have the wrong one or not. If the wrong one, they will mail you the right one and cover the postage for returning the wrong one.

Really enjoying our 3750FL,

One question, does the heater return have an air filter?

Appears our heater air return is under the refrigerator. I can not find any info on an A/C filter. I cannot even think of what the return fan would look like after a few years of use if there is no filter.

Short answer = No

You are not the first to ask this question. Check the following links for questions asked by others and Ozz's HEPA filter install.
