All screwed up!

Well, kind of!

Noticed today that the back screen door had some wiggle to it when opening and closing, so got out the old Robertson screw driver and tightened the screws down. Noticed also, the door itself had loose screws. So, I decided to check the front door too. Sure enough, every one was wiggling loose. Tightened them all up.

So then decided to check some others, and sure enough, they were loose too: Screws holding on the ladder. Screws holding on those little square things on the front of the slides. Screws on the sides of the slides. Screws holding the cable connections for the slides. Screws around the furnace cover. Screws holding on trim. Screws holding on the fenders.

Well, the list can go on and on. I need to get on a ladder and then the roof now and check them all up higher where I couldn't reach. I'll do that later today.

Although it's a 2019 model, we've had it 2 years now in September. I've never checked the outside screws for tightness, but glad I did now.

Got a few more to go, and only takes a few minutes to get around everything. And I figure, this is pretty good minor maintenance anyway.

So, now... I'm litterally "All screwed up."

If you haven't checked yours in a year or two, it might be a good thing to check right now!

While you are still “all screwed up”, go into your load distribution center and tighten all your hot, neutral, 12 vdc, and ground screws, preferably with power disconnected. Probably find some loose there also.

Good thing you can tighten those screws. A bunch of mine that are loose is because they are stripped.

Bob-- on the fender skirt screws- go to any hardware store and buy some spring nuts (at least that is what I call them) They are small pieced of spring steel that are curved and a small hole in the middle. Take out the loose screws and put the spring nuts on the back. No more problem with the screws loosening up or coming out!

I found loose ones on my 2020 3740 when I got it home from the dealer, who is 2 1/2 hours away. I took each one out and put a dap of silicone on screw and put them back in. We then went on a 2200 mile trip to the Black Hills and all screws stayed tight.
