Just keep watching here. More information will be published as it becomes available and registration typically starts in early summer and will also be announced here.

We live in the Orlando area, and went to our first rally last September. We loved it, made a lot of new friends, and will definitely be going again in 2019. As for as which days to attend, I don't think you would want to miss any of the events. Every day is different. It would be difficult to foretell which days will be better than others.

We planned a route going up, allowing us plenty of time to arrive, and then plenty of time to get back to Orlando. We enjoyed the journey!

Safe travels and we'll hope to meet you there!

Great Thanks, what was the route you used and how long did it take you to drive up there? I heard there are a limited number of good spots at the fairgrounds and the rest are very tight spots, can you give me some input on this?

Take care... be down your way in February, we love staying at Fort Wilderness

Driving up from Florida

We took 75 up to Chattanooga, then I-24 to Nashville, I-65 up to Indianapolis, 465 around Indy to Hwy 31 North.

It's pretty good roads all the way up there. We stop at either Walmarts or Cracker Barrels for overnights without unhooking. I do connect our generator though for a/c.

You can't pick your site at the campground as they try to mix in new comers with those that have experience at the rally. Honestly I don't think any location is much better than another. We were over by the horse track last year, which was fine except we were a bit further from the rally tents than those positioned on the other side. We take our bicycles though, makes it easy to get around. We were slightly further from the train tracks too, which was a blessing to me ;-) All sites are very tight, very close together.

Good luck, let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks, my question now is your unit equipped with a generator or do you have a stand alone generator you hook up? our unit doesn't have one but we do own a 7500 watt generator we use for the house when we lose power, I'm sure its big enough to handle at least one of the AC units and the household refrigerator ...

Your generator is probably not an inverter generator, and most likely is extremely noisy (and heavy).

We have a 3500 watt Harbor Freight Predator inverter generator that runs at below 60 dB and weighs 98 lbs. Anything louder would have strangers knocking on your door!

There are several inverter generators on the market, with Honda being probably the most popular.., but it is also the most expensive. The Predator which we have is excellent (designed by an ex-Honda engineer) and is less than half the cost of a comparable wattage Honda. Ours will run one a/c plus anything else in the trailer (but not 2 a/c's), which is all we need for overnighting.

The last day of the rally is 9/18, are there things going on that day, or will it wrap up on the 17th (based on previous years)?

That is correct, the Rally will finish on the 17th most likely with the ice cream social and final raffle drawings like in the past.

The 18th will be the day you start your travel home or to your next destination.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

Would like to register as soon as we can - we aren't full timers but love to travel.

We will be heading to the Rally from Colorado - is there anyone else going to the Rally from Colorado / Kansas? We would love to find someone to travel with.

I sent them and email and confirmed what Anthony said with a little additional information. If arriving before the 9th you will need to make the early day(s) reservation with them, but will have to move to your Rally camp spot. If arriving on the 9th or later, you will make your early day reservations with the rally team.
