Well today's the day, I tackle my bearing job. I did go ahead and buy all replacement bearings, races, seals and two 1lb. high temperature containers of grease from my local trailer shop. Total cost was $161.65. If the original stuff still is good, I will keep those parts as spares. I'm interested in seeing how much lube was applied at the factory, and if anything wore prematurely. My trailer is a 2019, but has pretty much been soley used by us. Total mileage around 5,000. (The original owner bought it and had it towed to a relatives property where it sat until bought by us). Time to get greasy.......I will try and post a photo of what I find when opening everything up as to what was greased by the factory, or lack of it.

You'll probably find the bearings are greased well, but the hub cavity is empty because they didn't use the ezlube to fill it. And, don't forget your rubber gloves and paper towels.

As far as I know they are the same. The spindle is of course different

I would think just the opposite. There have been many threads and posts about the lack of Grease coming from the factory

Well, glad I did them. The driver's side hubs were fine, but both passenger side ones had leaking seals. All 4 hubs had an over abundance of grease, which looks like the reason the two hub seals failed. The factory bearings all looked good, and I cleaned those to keep as spares. I can't recall when, or if I ever did this, but it went smooth after taking my time on the first one. In case anybody is wondering the nut is a 1 1/2" size socket. I printed out the directions on how to service the axles from the Dexter axle site, and that sure saved me. I used high temp red grease and packed those bearings by hand. Must haves for this job, is about an 8" piece of 2x4, 5 lb sledge, brass punch, standard screwdrivers, seal puller, 4 cans of brake cleaner, 3 rolls of paper towels, trash bags, and plenty of latex gloves.
