2020 Montana 3120RL RV Refer Problem

I am having issues with my RV fridge not cooling properly. It is a Norcold 2118x series 18 cu. ft. Electric/lp fridge. On setting 9 the deep freeze is only cooling to 44 deg f, and the fridge compartment will not even cook to 50 deg f. Looking for ideas to where to start troubleshooting or if anyone has had fridge issues.

Title updated to better reflect problem.

There have been many discussions re Norcold refers not cooling. A "Search" on keywords like "Norcold, cooling, etc" should find many of them.
A couple of questions. Is this problem occurring on both electric and propane? Is the thermistor attached at the top of the fins? What is the ambient outside temperatures? Are the exhaust fans running?

This is too new of a unit to expect a cooling system failure, Not that it can't happen, but other causes are more likely.

There is a " Norcold 2118x Service Manual" in the Files section located here: https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=72 It should help give you an idea of what you are looking at. I seem to remember a diagnostics manual somewhere but I haven't found it - yet.

Yes, it occurs on electric and lp. Thermistor attached to top of second fin from the right. Ambient outside temperature is ranging from 9 deg Celsius to 26 deg, night to day. Exhaust fans are running, at least that is what I think I am hearing.

I knew I had seen a troubleshooting guide. The trick is where? And I found one. Albeit it is written for the 1218 series but the 2118 models are much the same. Hopefully it will help you.

And then I found a more current manual that is much closer to your current model.
