G rated spare
Those of you that have changed to G rated tires, did you change the spare also? I ask because the rim for the spare is a steel rim and different from the coach rims. Does anyone know if the steel rims are 80 or 110 psi rated. I guess you could run the G rated spare at 80 psi in order to have the spare the same size/type.

I bought another matching wheel. That way I can rotate tires, and have all match

You are correct that many of the steel wheels are only rated for 80 lbs. When I changed I kept the E rated spare (and my "spare spare"). Running the E spare if needed will not cause any issues at all.

My steel wheel is marked for 110#.

our 2011 Mountaineer with 4 Tredit alum wheels and a steel spare all are rated 110psi.

Also, remember if your E spare is an OEM tire you have far more to worry about using it than just the size.

For many years the steel rims have been rated at 110 psi, even on our 2007 model. I have had the 614 as a spare on the last two rigs, personal preference.

I kept my Marathon as a spare when I changed to the 614s. There is absolutely no need to rotate tires on these trailers, as there are no drive and no steering wheels as on an automobile. The Marathons are just fine as a spare tire.

Like you I just left my OEM spare when I changed to the G614's.
