It is good. It is too bad you are there for only one night. Lots to see like the Truman library and home. It is one of our favorite parks as we know the managers. Cyndy or Kate will check you in. It is Reigles home park when they are visiting their kids and they stay there until after Christmas. Tell Cyndy hi from the Logans.

Sue, take a break and stay long enough to walk the town in Trumans footprints. You won't be sorry. Go through the house that he lived in. The Library is awesome also. I think Steve and Vicki are still up North but not sure.

Sue,
I insist you go to the Truman Library. I went about 15 years ago and have wanted to go back ever since. A very neat place.

Okay guys, been there, done that. I am from southeastern Kansas and my great-great grandparents homesteaded the area. I have hundreds of relatives in the area and have been back many, many times. Truman was not a favorite of mine but I've been there. Thanks for the suggestions.
Happy trails.....................

Sue, where are you guys coming in from? I personally would not drive to the middle of independence, on the narrow city (Old city) streets with the Montana, if I was going to only spend the night. There are RV parks on the highways. We can pick you guys up, you don't even have to unhook...
There is a park at Worlds of Fun, on 435 by the Mo. River, (and the casino's) EZ in and out.
Where are you headed after the Saturday night stay??

Jim,
Campus was the only park I found. I found Worlds of Fun and that looks good. How busy are they this time of year? Should I make reservations. We are headed to Branson.
Happy trails........................

Not busy at all, I went by there yesterday, only maybe 1/8th full. I would call them and ask, but don't think you will have any problem. I like the place.

We stayed there for a week last fall. You have to go though a rather poorly lit part of town, but once you get to the park it is really clean and nice. Lady at the office is very friendly. There is one bridge that says 13 ft you have to go under. I saw they had new ashpalt down. It scared me doing that at 9pm..but everything was up there the next day.Lots of history right close..You can even stand on the Santa Fe trail. If you like churches, you will be right at home. You can see about 4 right out your window. One looks like a big stainless screw...no disrespect meant..Have fun when you stop. You won't be sorry..have a Good Sam card and you get a discount. Rog
