Changes in the 3500 Silverado

There are a couple of things that are different in the new Silverado, and one of them I don't like. My old Silverado had a separate button for the cargo bed light. It was nice when hooking/unhooking in the dark. Now, the bed light only comes on when you turn the know for the inside dome lights. You blind yourself trying to back into the hitch and use the mirror because all four dome lights are on. Haven't had to use the new heated windshield washer yet, but the dealer said its really good for taking bugs off - 160 degrees I think he said. The new mirrors are much nicer than on the old '04. All in all I think we're gonna' like it.

The heated wipers are great for frost and iced windows also. Been there this year.

Ron, there is one more thing I have on my 02 that doesn't come on the new ones. That is the locking console, now neither the glove box or console lock. That is a hamper when you happen to be carrying a little extra defense with you in the cab! Now, when we get our new one I'll have to purchase a lock box for under the seat.
Actually, the ones I've seen at our dealership look very nice, can't wait til next year!

By the time my '04 came out, they didn't have any locks. So, I didn't miss them. Know what you mean about locking up the protection. Gotta' keep those condoms away from the kids.
