Hail damage
Had a hail storm here in Arlington Texas this morning. Never heard it that loud. Pea size to quarter size. Not as much damage as I feared but ac cover has a tennis ball size hole in it.
Should I cover the whole until I can replace the cover?
Also any idea on where to purchase a replacement cover?
Thanks!

You probably will not be needing the A/C in the next few days, so covering it would not be a problem.
I would call local RV dealers and/or RV parts stores with the model number of your A/C. Likely you will be able to find one locally. Otherwise you can find and order what you need by googling it. Easy to replace it yourself if you don't mind climbing on the roof.

To be on the safe side if I was you I would clean the area around the hole and use good ole duct tape to cover it. I know you've got some duct tape...every RVer does! This is, of course, a temporary "fix" until you can get a new one.

I ordered mine from Dyers RV Parts and Accessories, http://www.dyersonline.com/ Even with the shipping they were cheaper than 3 local suppliers. Received the 3rd day after placing the order.

Any rv parts supplier can get a replacement for you.

We're located just north of you and encountered hail damage in the same storms. wound up with a little larger than soft ball size hole in the rear AC shroud. Being almost 6 years old and fairly brittle I wasn't surprised. I ended up ordering my replacement shroud from Amazon and received it in 3 days. exact fit and seems like it may even be a little heavier duty than the factory original and was cheaper than the RV dealerships around here. Thanks Tim. Looked it up on Amazon and it appears to be a standard size shroud for dometic. Will probably purchase and see if I can do the repair myself. I patched the hole so should be okay for a couple of weeks.
