Electrical problem
I'm loosing power for a very brief instant once in a while. It is extremely quick. I loose some electrical things sometimes and all things other times.
I have a SUrge Guard in line at the power source.
I have had some issues with power here before, at this campground, but my surge guard cut power. This issue is not dropping my surge guard out.
I have checked all connections inside and outside the camper.(tightness, hot marks)
I have a volt meter in one outlet and I happened to see the meter when this problem happened. There was no noticeable swing in the meter. Yet things on multiple circuits dropped out and had to be restarted. (tv, direct tv unit, microwave)
The reason I say it is quick is because once it shut down my AC completely and once it did not but caused it to blow the AC circuit breaker. I'm assuming it may have not dropped out the AC control unit and it caused a quick restart of the AC unit that caused the CB to trip.
The last time it happened I had the AC unit completely off. Other things dropped out.
SO far the surge guard has not dropped out. I have tested it only by turning the shore power source off and back on. It takes over two minutes to power the rv.
Sorry for the long wind, but any ideas?
Thanks

Check your neutral wire and make sure that isn't dropping out.

Neutral wires are all tight inside and out. Except I can't check the campground supply.

If you have an adaptor to reduce the 50 amp outlet to 20 amps try only plugging in a digital clock into it. That will isolate the camper and if the clock blinks 12:00 the problem is in the power pedistal not the camper. That should help you narrow the problem. good luck. John

The problem is with the campground.
Today I switched posts and plugged a clock into the 20 amp outlet.
Today I have had one failure and it took out my Surge Guard and the clock.
I feel lucky that I just last week bought a surge suppressor for my Direct tv box, tv and home theater electronics. I know there's a lot of other electronics to protect and I hope the surge guard is helping. Many campgrounds lack the ability to fix these type of issues.
Thank you for you help!

Glad you found the problem with no damage to the rig. There is and always will be electrical problems at a lot of campgrounds. Always be on your guard. John

I hope you let the campground management know so they can get it fixed for the next folks.
