Level up System
I just had the Level Up system, installed on my RV. I should have done this a while ago. I will be storing the rig for the winter and will not be going out again until next June. When I store my RV, I always have disconnected the battery, so the battery gremlins don’t drain the battery.
Now with the level up, the tech told me there is a memory battery in the controller. He said it should last about 6 months. Are there any of you out there, that have stored your RV for a while and had problems the Level Up when you went to use it? Or will it just be normal when I roll out again.
There is no place to leave it plugged it at my storage.
This is all new to me, so I am in the learning curve.
Thanks, in advance, for your information. Much appreciated.

I just checked again, I don't recall reading in the Level up manuals about a memory battery.

I would not worry about it.
Take your house battery home and put it on a battery tender.
Make sure you winterize your plumbing.

Personally I've never heard of that being a problem. Most folks disconnect the batteries if they have to store without hookups and this is the first time I've ever heard of this.

Not true. My guess the controller uses ROM memory to store information.

Not the first time the tech is full of hooey.
If there was a battery and it would lose a charge it should be mentioned in the manual

The tech may have said ROM memory. I don't exactly remember. He was going over the operation of the control pad, I was making sure I was understanding the instructions, so I could get the trailer off the truck.
