Rearview Camera for Truck

Just got through ordering one of my Christmas presents last night. My mother just sends money and tells DW to buy for the family and DW told me to get what I thought I wanted. So I am searching for a rearview camera for the truck to assist in hooking up the boat and jet-ski trailer and ran across what I hope is a decent one. It is called an Iball camera and it has a couple of neat features. The camera is completely waterproof and is mounted with a strong magnet (directly on the receiver or ball hitch or can simply be attached to the tailgate). The system is wireless and the camera gets it power from a 9v battery. The monitor plugs into the cigarette lighter and comes with a flex wand to allow for easy adjustment. In other words the system is easily removable and transferable to other vehicles. I think an interesting secondary use will be to place the camera in the rig when traveling so we can keep an eye on the crated creatures. Bought it off Amazon for $150. Anyone have any experience with these, just curious.

Bingo, You can monitor a camera on the Rand Mcnally 7720, 7725 GPS's. Might give you a reason to add another gift under the tree.

Actually, I am hopeful that it may work with our existing Voyager system as a bonus. Have lifetime map upgrades with our obsolete Garmin, so hard to justify another GPS. Primary purpose is boat and jetski trailer hookup and seeing behind the tailgate area when parking in reverse. We already have the camera system for the rig.

I just use a couple of those fiberglass bright yellow sticks with the magnets on the ends. Tried a wireless camera once, but had too much metal and too much distance for it to work, so I went back to the sticks. They work just as good in my book.

I have a set of the sticks, but they don't help when backing into a parking spot with a long, long, long truck (long bed, crew cab)!!

Don't overlook this system. I have it and highly recommend it. Take a look at the phenomenal review scores as well.

I have the Swift Hitch also. I put it on the roof of the truck to watch the 5th wheel plate when I am hooking up the trailer.

I also have the Swift Hitch. I have a metal plate on my ladder so I can place it back there for viewing behind me when towing and another metal plate on my Tailgate Toolbox so I can put it there to guide the kingpin into my hitch when hooking up. The only problem is the battery only last 5 or 6 hours. I rarely use it on the ladder when towing.
