2010 Virginia-Mid-Atlantic Rally Agenda
I have consulted with the DW and we have agreed on the agenda for the rally. Here is what is planned:
Wed, Aug 11th 7:00 p.m. Meet and Greet at the pavillion. A separate post will allow for sign-ups to bring finger foods, drinks, etc.
Thur, Aug 12th 3:00 p.m. Show and Tell - Let other MOCers see what mods you have made to your rigs and tow vehicles. Mark Krol, the regional representative for Keyston-Montana will be in attendance to view your mods and address any service and parts issues that you may be encountering. This is a very informative time at the rally. See Jim Fischer's thread for more information.
Thur, Aug 12th 6:00 p.m. Keystone RV Dinner at the pavillion. After the dinner will be awarding of door prizes as well as the White Elephant gift exchange with entertaining host and hostess: Jim and Vickie Fischer.
Fri, Aug. 13th - morning caravan departure for Beckley (Exhibition Mine and Tamarack)
- evening outdoor movie at the pavillion if there is interest.
Sat, Aug 14th - 9:00 a.m. morning breakfast (pancakes, etc. if we can get the men to prepare it. Hint, hint George!!!
- 6:00 p.m. Pot-luck Dinner at the pavillion, thread will be posted as well for sign-ups for dishes and drinks.
I will check on campfires this week with the campground, and we will leave that for impromptu get-togethers as the attendees see fit (if they are allowed).
As always we are in need of coffee pots, etc. I don't think Cathypot can handle 21 rigs Jim, what do you think?? We will figure out the rally fee but our thoughts are $10-$15 per rig. Keep in mind that half goes to the MOC. We will also have a half & half drawing whenever a volunteer steps forward (Another hint for George!!)
No event is mandatory, and we are trying to keep plenty of time open for local ventures and enjoying the campground as well. There are wineries in the area if someone wants to organize a trip (as most know we don't drink, so organizing that is not in our repertoire). The Blue Ridge Parkway is very near as well for a fantastic day trip.
Looking forward to a great time!!

Open to suggestions, we prefer family oriented movies (G or PG rated - preferably without harsh language). If any one has any thoughts on this, let us know.

How about "The Long, Long Trailer" (Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz) or possibly one of the Ice Age series?

Bingo,
I went on line and looked up "The Long Long Trailer" and it only referenced the original, no remakes.

I forgot to mention we have a griddle and 42 cup coffee pot with us. Let me know if you need them for any of the events.

I did not see on the agenda when we are having the wine and cheese. Are we having it during the meet and greet?

Lou,
It can be at the meet and greet or if someone wants to add an sgenda item that is fine also. We don't drink which is the main reason that we did not put it on the agenda. I will leave it up to the attending members if someone wants to head something along those lines up.
