For Slide Seals - 303 or Thetford Slide Conditioner

I've used 303 Aerospace Protectant on the slide seals for the last 2+ years and it seems to be working okay. Only on the outside - did not know about the inside seal. The only thing is that it seems to remain tacky after use since there is really now way to wipe it down. I just ran into the Thetford Premium RV Slide Out Rubber Seal Conditioner and Protectant. Looks like it might be better and about the same price. Has anyone had experience with it? Is it more of a lube for the seals? How many 15oz ($5.93@AMZN) cans would it take to do 5 slides, in & out?

While i'm a big fan of 303, for seals I really like Thetford Premium Seal Conditioner. It sprays on as a foam and I rubbed it in with my hand. Makes your seals feel slick for weeks. Doesn't help much with the black marks left on slide though. Think I purchased from Camping World and cost was $15.96 for a 14 oz. I have three slide and did inside and outside except for top outside as I have slide toppers and couldn't get to them. Sure there was enough left over to do them a second time.

I've used the Tetford spring and fall for 9 years of full timing on two different Monty's and since I continue to use it I'm very happy with it.

I don't have slide toppers but the unit I had before did. I had one long slide where I couldn't reach the top seal. I always keep a painter's roller extension handle with me to screw a brush on to wash my rv. So I tied a rag on the pole, sprayed the slide conditioner on the rag, and got on a ladder and ran it on the seal from both sides. It's a pain but it works.

Good tip but I'm over 80 years. I'm lucky I got as much as I did.
