Guess it was my lucky day
We left our house here in Central Texas for a weekend of debauchery in San Antonio. Got as far as Austin and the warning went off on the radio about a bad storm with major hail about to hit right were we live???? We figured not much we can do about it now so we continued on. Well we started getting reports from friends and neighbors of big hail. When my son got out of work I had him check the house and trailer and my truck. He said no broken window or dents he could see in the truck...hmmmm good so far. But others are telling us they have major damage. My brother who lives 16 miles away lost his roof and his car is now dimpled. I figured we had to have lost the sky light in the trailer. Well we got home today and nope trailer is fine as is the truck and house. Bunch of branchs down and we have one of those throw up gazebos that has a flimsy fabric or they call it canvas roof that now looks like it got hit with a machine gun lol lol....

Brother-in-law was taking his show car to Shreveport,La for a drive in Mopar show, got hit by a major hail storm Friday, big time damage to his show cars, people that haven't been in a major hail storm, just don't understand the damage or the fact there is not to many places to run. Glad you got by this one. We had the same situation a couple of years ago, millions of dollars in damage. Missed out place completely by about a mile. It did a lot of crop damage on my farm, but I can handle that.

Glad to hear it missed you. Someplace near the RV home base in Kansas gets it every year. Looks like drunken monkeys got loose with ball peen hammers.

We got hit by a hail storm here in Raytown (Kansas City) on Thursday. Both vehicles dimpled and need a new roof on the S&B. Monty looks o.k. looking down from the bedroom window but will need to climb the ladder to make sure. Fingers are crossed.

California weather is pretty nice, or at least they tell me it is. We will be coming through there in about 8 weeks with the Monte. Is it hard to drive when the ground is shaking under your feet and the earth is cracking all over....you know....whats that thing called that happens out there....earth-something?

We're spending a couple of months outside of Dripping Springs, about 38 miles west of Austin, and were concerned about the weather report, but all we got here was a stiff breeze. Thank You, Lord!

Yeah we lucked out cause where I live was at the bottom edge of the storm and then most of it was north towards Waco. It was blue skies the whole way to San Antonio, but then that's Texas lol lol..... Sorry to hear you got hit Neil, I know we all got insurance but it's still expensive when you figure in all the deductibles. Especially since I just put a new roof on in Dec. And believe me Mike when ice the size of ping pong balls and bigger starts to fall from the sky it will get your attention lol lol But I have trouble enough walking with out the earth and buildings moving too lol lol
