We haven't used anything special. We have friends who have used Stanley Steamer and they were very happy with the results.

We've used Stanley Steamer for our house and they did a terrific job so I would assume they would do likewise for the Montana. Juts a thought - why don't you consider renting a carpet cleaner and doing the job yourself - its not that big of an area.

Use my home carpet cleaner (noting we are NOT fulltimers)

I would think the rental of a unit at the local hardware would work just fine, or call Stanley.

Send a message via MSN to Parrothead
We have our own Hoover and use the Hoover chemicals. When we fulltime we will probably rent one or borrow from the kids.
Happy trails...................

Are certain cleaning methods to be avoided because they wet the wooden sub-floor too much in the coach?

Used to do carpet cleaning in RVs a bit and I will no longer do my own carpet--it just isnt worth it. We try to get recommendations for the local area---wouldn't believe how many people don't get their carpets cleaned. Lots of times the local advertizing paper will have coupons. Most systems won't hurt your carpet, but have them clean a spot not in sight for furniture cleaning to make sure it won't harm the fabric.
