Pretty much the same answer I got Bob, only without the editorials.
We got a chance to use our Monty last weekend without the stabilizers and were able to wash about 3 loads in the wash machine. I'm anxious to see how the stabilizers do after I install them with regard to the spin cycle shimmy! Not an obnoxious shimmy, but there none the less. The way my DW was giggling when the Monty windows started rattling, I think she is going to miss that shimmy .

I am considering the JT's and I have a question about mounting the rear stabilizers, from the pics I have looked at the rears mount from the pads of the rear jacks and then go to the center rear of the trailer. I looked under my Big Sky and I dont see anything to bolt to back there, there does not seem to be a cross member at the rear of the frame. What am I missing here?

Bill, you need to install a cross member - 3"x2"x1/4"x71" piece of angle iron and then install your JT's. Check out my photo album - Mods. If you have more questions - just ask. Now I didn't check to see if there was a cross member above the belly pan cover. After I called JT's, they told me to install the angle iron cross member and then install the JT's jacks. Hope that answer your question.

Don,
Great pics - thanks! Getting ready to install this morning. Did you paint the angle iron?
Bill,
There is a crossmember back there (assuming your the same as the 3400). Mudchief had a good idea of just making slits in the belly behind the frame and pushing up to get to the top of the crossmember for the nuts.
I'm still debating. Might have to leave that part until tomorrow.
The angle iron does make a nice place to hang backup lights.

Has anyone seen the three kits and compared them?
Thanks,

Brad, I have neighbor that owns a powder coating business. He powder coated the angle iron for me, but you can just paint it too. I think it will help cutdown on rust.

I don't have those but i have the BAL deluxe wheel locks and have just about taken every bit of movement out and a lot cheaper. Camping world 60.00 a piece. Worth every penny.

Robb - I sent you an e-mail about your inquiry of comparing the 3 units.

I just built my own JT stabilizer clones using stainless tubing and rod, but just made a pair for the front to control side to side movement.. What a difference, with good wheel chocks I dont need anything else. Looks real nice and was LOTS cheaper than JT's.
