Talking Thedford toilet / footbath

Greetings again,
Anyone know how to clean/ adjust / replace the “jet spray manifold” which fills the toilet bowl? It appears that there is an imbalance of water coming from one side which results in a whirlpool effect in the bowl when you go to flush and fill. This in turn, laps water over the edge of the bowl and you get your toes “cleaned” at the same time! Looks like the cover should pop off allowing a cleaning of those nozzles, but I dont know and I dont want to break it. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Max

PS - nice to have the Monty to move into a nearby park when the power goes out at the house for the weekend!

The easiest way to fix the Thetford toilet is with a Dometic 310 or 320 toilet. That may not be the answer you are looking for, but the Thetford is just about impossible to repair for lasting results. I fought the one that came with our rig for about 6 months, and finally gave up, spent the $200 and in about 15 minutes had a long lasting, problem free toilet installed. That was in early 2014, and the Dometic 310 has been working full time reliably since.

We removed the Thetford and replaced with the Dometic 320 w/sprayer on our last 2 Montanas. The ONLY way to go!

Step 1. Purchase a Dometic 310 or 320.
Step 2. Remove the Aqua Flood before it floods your camper. And it will.
Step 3. Throw the Aqua Flood away.
Step 4. install new Dometic, Takes only a couple of hours.
Step 5. Sleep well with out fear of a flood.

Agree with Eagleback The Aqua Flood is a piece of JUNK. Are's leaked out the back the 2nd time out on the road ordered a 320 had deliverer to wear we staying and in stalled it. Through the the Aqua Flood in the dumpster. The guy next to us though I was crazy thronging out a new toilet.

Thanks for that. Do you have the link for that ad? I went to CW and they did honor internet pricing, but it wasn't $179 and I had to buy the hose separate. Oh well, CW has been good to me in the past so I went with it. She would have honored the $179 but I didn't have the link. No biggie. Been a while since I removed a toilet but I don't think it will be a big problem. Thanks for your advice here.

I recently stopped buying from Camping World because they would not honor the internet price even though I had printed the price out. My local Camping World in Coburg Oregon had in the past honored the internet price but the cashier said the public was taking too much advantage of that program. I will buy my items off the internet even if I have to pay more with shipping if that is the way they want to do business.

CW in Myrtle always price match CW online sales. Just saved $50 at CW Williamsburg VA last week. I show the price on my phone that is all.

Only issue - apparently the 320 I bought W/O sprayer needs some plumbing parts in order to put the sprayer on (which they sold me separately). So - back to CW we go. We are off to a rough start but it should be worth it in the long run.

As long as they are cheap manufacturers will continue putting them in new units ~~ they will survive.

Its ALOT cheaper for higher quality. I have replaced 3 plastic screen door latches. Yesterday I spent 8.00 more for a metal latch. I bet it's the last time I buy a screen door latch. 3 plastic ones cost about 60.00... one metal cost 26.00..
