Anyone attending RV shows?
We went to the one in Rockford this past weekend. It was not as nice as the one up in Rosemont IL...They just had a small selection and no Montanas. Sure wished we could of seen a new Montana 06... Did see where the designer by Jayco did some upgrading.

There is a RV Show here in Fort Worth Texas this Thursday - Sunday January 19 to the 22, 2006 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
We are work camping here and will go one day to see what's new.
We have a 2005 3400RL Montana - living in it since June '05 and loving it. The show has a web site " www.fortworthrvshow.com "

Campbud, one thing you could do is to find your Montana dealers in your area. Montana has a locator on their site ( http://www.keystone-montana.com/?page=locator) - good, but not perfect. Make some phone calls and ask them where they plan on going to shows at.

I'm really surprised that Colliers wasn't at the Rockford show. That was where we bought ours and they have a great selection of Montanas there, plus their service department is top notch in our book.

Our local Montana dealer is having his show this weekend. Hope to see a new '06 then, but his website does not show one now. Going to Knoxville, TN show next weekend, and the dealer there told me the week of Christmas that he would have a new '06 at that show. Have to wait and see.

The big show in Michigan was at the Pontiac Silverdome but that has since closed. It is now at Ford Field in Detroit but has been cancelled this year because of the Super Bowl at Ford Field. I have no idea why they had to cancel the rv show, just move the date. The Detrit folks have all these great plans that fans are going to come days early and stay for a week and do???? I bet most will fly in see the game and fly out, I live way north of Detroit and I find no reason to go down there except to the rv show.I do beleive a big show will be held at the renamed Novi expo center in March.

Gary and Karen, That is where we purchased our Montana too! Collier had alot to look at but no newer Montana's..probably not till later this month. I do have to say I totally agree with you on there service department. When we were having trouble with our recliner, the manufacture was very slow on getting back w/an answer so they just swapped recliners for us. We have had excellent service from the start with them.

There is a show in Dayton at the Expo Center. The local Montana dealer(Couches Campers) is there with some Montys. We are going this Sat, the 21st to see what they have. Usually one of the factory reps is there too!The show is located off I-75, the exit is 64, which is Northwoods Blvd. They have signs on the interstate directing you to the show. Hours are 1-9 Friday and 10-9 Sat and 11-5 Sunday, cost is $6.50 adults, kids under 16 free. We are not looking to buy another Monty yet, but we still like to look!

We are work camping at the Fort Worth Midtown RV Park - it is down in the cultural district - very small park only 18 spaces but close to a lot of stuff.
We will be here for a few months then hope to go back to the west coast - our families are all there.

OldTurbo,
I believe that the owners of Ford Field felt that it would be VERY important for the area residents to focus on what "Super Bowl" teams were SUPPOSED to look like...
THIS... INSTEAD OF... ...so they probably didn't want folks distracted by something like a silly RV Show being rescheduled - which would probably actually draw more of a crowd than the Lions...
"Two bits, four bits, six bits, a dollar... all for RVs stand up and holler!!!" As an after thought... maybe they didn't want the Lion's OWNER to be distracted???
Sorry... JMHO
May have gotten a little carried away... couldn't resist...

We went to the show in the Rio Grande Valley last week but, to be honest, we thought it a rather lame show. The saving grace was lunch and chatting with our MOC friends and talking with Kevin Farnham, from Keystone. There were only 3 Montanas and a handful of Mountaineers. None with the new nose or new graphics. Disappointing.

Spent a few hours yesterday at the big Tampa show. They had 5 or 6 Monty's. Some had the new hitch, but none had the new nose cap. A little disappointing. Most of the units had a sheet posting the list price and their "special show" discount. Many discounts we saw were pretty paltry, 10% or so. I guess you have to haggle with them to get a good price. Will go back today and nose around a little more.

Anyone going to the Grand Rapids Show at the DeVos Place this weekend? We are leaving around 3:00 today for the weekend there (doubling as our Anniversary get-a-way). Show is free, but parking is going to cost.
