Replaced the friction hinges on entry door
Finally replaced the friction hinges on front door with nonfriction .not a hard job,just wondering why i did not do this a long time ago.No more having to slam the door to get it to shut.

I did ours the first week we owned it Did not like the setup.

They wouldn't be on your 2012, we don't have them on our 2013 but they are on our 2017 so they came along somewhere between those dates.

I don't mind the friction hinge outside of the fact that it squeaks like a door at a haunted house.
Oiling it doesn't work.
Watering it will make it quit squeaking. If it's rained or I just remember to pour water on it it doesn't squeak. I don't understand.

I replaced mine because they were so tight they were pull the door apart.

You only have to replace top and bottom hinge the center hinge is not a friction hinge. I ordered 2 non friction from Amazon, drilled out the rivets and remove the screws. the holes the new hinges do not line up so i used self tapping screws. Filled old holes with black silicone. The new hinges only come in white so i spray painted them black. the trick to doing this is only replace one hinge at a time,

Do you have the Amazon part numbers. I hate those friction hinges they flex the door frame on our 2015 3440RL and at some point they are going to cause a bigger problem.

I had the same problem, maybe not quite as bad. Tried WD-40 and silicone (better results than WD-40) but what I found to work the best was PB Blaster. It also made the door almost like the non-friction hinges.

I am sorry i did not get them on Amazon i got them from RV up grades the part # is 198295 for white and 204758 for black.
