stihlntime - not sure by what you wrote, but why do you say it does not pair with the monitor reliably? Greater distance from monitor to transmitter makes weak signal, if that is what happened... If so, I will tell you (if you have not seen my previous reply somewhere) how I remedied weak signal.

I have the Furion mounted on my 3720RL. Driving a F350 with the 360 camera system I like not having to run a cable from trailer to truck. I have running lights on all the time while driving anyway so there's no problem there. Like others have said biggest advantage is being able to tell when safe to switch lanes and not guess on clearance. It does help with backing up with no spotter.

I am having the "old" first version Furrion Camera System from our previous Travel Trailer.
This Cam has a lot of connection issues and reconnect whatsoever all the time. Of cores when you are finally on the camping lot it loses all connection and reboots ....

Can anyone tell if the "new" second version with the antenna on the monitor is having same issues still?

Thanks Mike

We are also a “2 thumbs down” on the Furrion. It came with our Montana 2 years and we have yet to be able to get it to pair.

I would love to “learn” any tricks to make the Furrion pair more reliably. This unit is less than 2 months old so I assume it’s the latest version. We are just pulling a 3121RL so the distance couldn’t be over 45 feet. Supposedly good to 100’. I am not taking the carrying a lawn mower battery with cigarette lighter plug attachment with me to carry the camera back to the rear of the trailer to pair as CW recommend.lol

Back up camera

Have the 2020 Montana 3740fk. Does any know if what looks like a camera on the rear is actually a camera or just a place to set camera up?

We have a 2020 3701 LK. The trailer has a prewired point under the center clearance marker on the rear. I removed the cover plate, mounted the Furrion w/its antennae, and it works great. The power for the trailer lights evidently feeds that prewire as one must turn on the headlights to get a camera feed. Our trailer is about 41' and we pull w/a long wheelbase RAM so its a fair distance from the camera to the receiver but no problems whatsoever thus far.

Ours came pre-wired for a camera, but the "shark fin" on the back was only a placeholder, not the camera itself. I purchased the 3 camera Furrion with side markers and the rear shark fin camera on Amazon. There are options for 5" and 7" monitors. With my old eyes, I went with the 7". I've been very happy with mine. Works great. It is an observation camera, meaning it's on all the time, not just when in reverse like a backup camera. The cameras are powered by the running lights, so you will need to turn on your headlights, or at least the parking lights to power the camera. I usually drive with my lights on anyway, so this wasn't a problem.

We have the same trailer and didn't have any issues. Make sure the antennas are on and up. Lights on to power it up. Don't forget to sync it with the button on the camera itself

I had a Furrion camera on my last rig, it was 35 ft. It never worked reliably while driving, the signal would come and go. It worked great as a backup camera. I just ordered a Haloview RD7 Plus. It has an external antenna to mount at the front of the rig greatly reducing the distance to the display in the TV. The Haloview has great reviews.
