Lippert level control readout

The liquid crystal display on my unit is very dim. Has any one ever had the LCD replaced instead of buying a new panel?

You don’t have information concerning whether your unit is new and still under warranty. If it’s under warranty, have your dealer replace the entire panel. If not, contact LCI to help you troubleshoot. They have helped many people solve issues over the phone. (You may want to add some info to your signature).

Dave has a 2014 3735 MK (Info from another post). The blurry screen shot below is from the 2014 brochure shows the Lippert control panel. I would contact Lippert and get a price for a replacement. This one looks like my 2018 control panel.

If you go to Amazon and search for Lippert 421484, this will get you to the touch pad. It will look slightly different from the original, but all the buttons are there and it is a direct replacement, and from Amazon, you likely will get it within a day or two, and with Prime it ships for free. A neighbor in the park we are in right now had his touchpad fail a few months ago, and this is what he ordered and it worked perfect. Unfortunately, the price on Amazon is what is listed on the Lippert site, but with free shipping, you at least gain that much. The touchpad that looks exactly like the original touchpad is no longer made and is replaced by this one.

IF you have a low wattage soldering iron and solder you can rmeove the level up panel and try reworking the solder on the connections and parts you can get access to on the PCB...

The place Id start at on this PCB is the backside of the modular plug in and rework those solder joints and plug back in and try the display

Its what Id do before I shelled out $280 bucks for a new one.. The display gets its 12 volt power from the fwd remote sensor located in front storage compartment and it connects to the display PCB.. reseat that connection on the PCB as well as up on the fwd controller to see if maybe a connection pin as some build up on it..

If that doesnt resolve the dim display then its time for a new control panel

What rohrmann said, my 2014 was the same way. Bought that one and it was a direct replacement!

Before spending any money I would suggest you unplug the board from the cord, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. This may fix it. Last year my display went completely out, unit still worked but no screen at all on my 2017 Montana HC. I did the above and no problems since then. Good luck.

Unless you are skilled in high-value soldering, your chances of success replacing just the LCD are not good. I recently had to replace my keypad due to a failed membrane and some functions not working. I called Lippert and explained the problem and they gave me a nice discount on the new keypad. Easy replacement once you get the old keypad free from the frame.

Lippert

I sent an email to Lippert describing the issue. They gave me 10% off. After tax and shipping it came in just under Amazon price before tax.

Lol I just replaced my 2013 version 2 weeks ago because my buttons stopped working or needed a significant amount of pressure to work. I will keep the original as a backup.

Be careful... the frame in the new model is slightly thicker than the original, causing interference with the access door. I kept the old frame installed, but the new keypad is extremely snug in the old frame such that I didn’t want to exert too much pressure on the delicate pad to get it to snap fully in.

Thanks for all of the responses. Rebooted as per suggestions and voila, I can now read the display!

The buttons quit working on our 2016, had to replace it. Pretty easy to replace. There are small holes at top & bottom of the controller, with a very small screwdriver,
pry the old one out and push the new in. Easy
