Replacing Tailgater With?

Okay, so my 2011 Tailgater finally sent it's last signal and I am in mourning. Need to replace. I have read several previous post about what is the best out there and about issues with each and positives also. Read reviews online and they are scattered with many different opinions and complaints. Called King Connect (Tailgater) and asked some questions about length of cable restrictions that I have heard they are using as an excuse for poor (or none) signal. He danced around that question like Fred Astaire and never gave a solid answer except that their testing showed the longer length the less signal(duh). I want a portable and based on some of your comments in previous posts here I think maybe I'm leaning toward 3 models. I can use my box (VIP 211K) with any of these. Would appreciate any comments, good and bad about yours. I will order later this week probably.
Tailgater #4400
Winegard G2+
Pathway X2
Suggestions for other models welcomed.

Also has anyone moved up to a heavier cable to be able to increase the cable length. If so, what cable and what max length could I expect? Any other tips appreciated. Another complaint I noticed online reviews was some are having a long delay when changing channels, like 10-20 secs?
Thanks

Pathway X2 is my choice.
I am pleased with the choice, it is nice at some campgrounds to use the other sat arc because of trees.
I have at times used a long cable run to get to that hole in the trees, good foam digital cable make a difference.

I like the pathwayx2 but right now it's at home in my shop as I have replaced it with a hard dish 1000.2 so I can watch multiple satellites in different rooms at the same time.

We used G2+ for years with 50' of cable before we hit the convenience center. The G2+ provides it's own power so it's not as touchy. I'm currently in New Mexico, just north of Carlsbad and still have one for sale. We replaced them with a traveler.

Has anyone tried larger cable? R-11 or any others? Saw it mentioned on reviews online.
