Moab, Utah
We're leaving Torrey, Ut (Capital Reef National Park) in the morning (Sat., April 5) and heading to Moab for several days. Looking for "the works" in a campground, which to us means wifi at our site and cable tv. Have looked online at Portal RV Resort and Archview Resort. Do these fit the bill and do you know of others Thanks much for your response.

We stayed at Portal RV resort after leaving Riverside Oasis RV Park (also in Moab) and found that it suited our needs. Riverside is quite tight and I wound up tearing the roof on a tree (it jumped out in the dark) while pulling in. If we were going back we would definitely stay at Portal.

We had a very nice stay at Moab Valley CG last year. Handy to town, Arches, etc. The vening boat trip on the CO River was a neat treat, as well. Pasta Jay's is a good place to eat, as well. Enjoy!!

We stayed at the OK RV Park. Clean for an equestrian park. Close to all the amenities in Moab, but just on the outside of town so not any sounds. Real wonderful view. Is a Passport America campground. Don't miss the drive up Utah 128. The views will leave you breathless!!

We vote for Portal RV. You can buy a lot there. Great location. Wish we were there now!

I wanted to let all know, we are staying a the Kanab RV Corral. It's of coarse in Kanab Utah. We like it here, the rest rooms are kept spotless and the grounds are always clean, however the spaces are a little tight. We are here until the 26th of April or as soon as the roads permit us to travel on the the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. A Motor home with a couple from Az. Pulled in a week ago and they put them next to us, their is several sites empty in this row. Also across from us. Needless to say they weren't happy either, they will be here for six months. They were told they would be moved as soon as a larger spot open in the back of the park. It looks like that won't been anytime soon. We are more than happy to live like this, they don't like it at all, so they have been a little on edge. Anyway I would reccommed this park, the Owners are very friendly. We are also in the middle of many of the Canyons. We are going to Zion National Park in about 9 days when it opens around the 15th of April. Later Randye

I think you will find that Zion is open all year, only 25 miles from our house.

Re. North Rim, we were told last year by locals and Park Service that the North Rim road does not open until May 15. Check w/Park Service folks when you visit Zion to verfiy that. BTW, Page, AZ is a treat! Wahweap (sp?) CG by Lake Powell is lovely. Dam tour, float trip, and tour of Antelope Canyon are great fun and not to be missed. Enjoy.
