rear emergency window issue ?

We have a 2016 3720RL
our rear window emergency handle has broken 3 times. not from engaging or misuse. original one I went to open and it was broke, went to replace and the new one was real tight when installed it, 4 days later went to use and it was broke. Replaced and extended latch to loosen up a bit now 3 month later I checked it and its broke. They all fail at the same hinge point. I have an extra and will replace. the last one I did there was no stress on it when closed because I had extended where it latches to the window. any ideas on what would be causing these to fail.

Thank you

Thank you I will replace with what I have an order one for back up.
You would think the hinge point would be a little stronger.

Funny how none of the windows are having any issues.

There was a real issue with those handles. We had a 2015 and I made my own handle until they fixed the issue. There is a stress riser on those handles and it always breaks at that sharp corner. And, it didn’t matter if you never used the handle, they still broke. Best of luck. As repairs go it’s not a hard one. We could always tell when someone had that issue - duct tape holding the window shut.

fixed the problem I hope.
pulled old handle out, removed the pivot pin and flattened the end out, drilled 1/8 holes in the window bracket and end of handle. found 6" annealed wire. threaded the wire from hole to hole wrapping about 5 times, works great and most likely 10 times stronger then the original hinge.
