Prayers for our son Adam

Our son Adam was involved in an industrial accident. While making an installation at the top of a 10' ladder, an electrical panel next to him exploded. A fire ball engulfed him and he fell to the ground with his shirt on fire. He was medivact to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacrament.

His arms and hands were badly burned as well as his face. No burns to his chest or back and his lungs were clear. He is currently in the burn unit and is on pain meds. They will know in 36-48 hrs whether he will need skin grafts and physical therapy. There is movement in all fingers and he will keep them all.

His fiance is with him and once he improves we will travel to Ca to spell her as they have a number of animals to care for. The only reason we are not with him now is by his request. He just doesn't want us to see him yet.

Please give all your prayers to Adam

We are sincerely sorry to hear of this terrible accident. We pray that God will guide the hands of the medical professionals caring for your son. And even more that He will support you and the rest of the family with the strength and grace you need to see Adam through this devastating ordeal.

Dick and Louise,
We are sorry to hear of your son's accident and wish him the speediest of recoveries. And it sounds like he will be doing great!

If it were me I'd be on my way to see him regardless of his "request". There is nothing like having your family with you in times like this.

We are several hundred miles from the Sacramento area but if there is anything we can do to help just drop us a line. Also there are many members in and around the Sacramento area that I'm sure would be willing to help.

Take care and please keep us updated on your son's recovery. Dennis and Mary K.

Yesterday Adam was able to get up and move a little. He is still in quite a bit of pain but he has always been one to fight it. We are honoring his wishes for now as the last thing we want is to "upset the apple cart". His fiance is hoping to talk to the Dr today as maybe he's off on Friday? We're hoping to talk to him today as the only phone service direct to him is his cell. Thanks again for your prayers and offers of help.

I agree get your butts there....my son did that when he was in a very bad car accident, tried telling me he only had a broken leg and didn't want me to fly home. Found out it was shattered and very serious, was on the next plane out. He was very happy to see me show up in that hospital room...remember burns are dicey you need to go see and be with
him.....Prayers for both you and him....

Just to let you all know, Dick and Louise are in Colorado taking care of their grandkids there while their other son and his wife are on a cruise. I'm sure they will be on their way to California as soon as their other son and his wife return. Dick and Louise, our prayers are still with you and the family.

WOW, I know as bad as it is, it could certainly be worse. Our prayers are with you and Adam. We are praying that he is not in a lot of pain but burns are so painful and can be slow to heal. Dick and Louise, make sure you let us all know if you need some help
