Hahaha, well...maybe! I called my trainer (Dad) and he told be not to do it, let someone else...I bought a Haynes repair manual and it said "not recommended for the home mechanic" and ya, know...$1500.00 labor fee, old Chuck got Chuck Jr out in brrrr cold garage and 4.5 hrs your looking at what we did! Long story...but put all back together, (got 6 extra screws..hmmm) heater works, no leaks, but a stupid damper on passenger side not working, aaarrrgggghhhh, tonight its back to looking close to that picture! I did find problem and am having a break (cocktails) to resume tomorrow night. Maybe I can find a home for those 6 screws and still get all the others where they belong.

The next couple of nights will give my Montana a test, the temp. is heading toward the low teens. I do not know what I was thinking, I usually winterize this thing by driving 400 miles south.

Lake effect off Lake Erie today and 16 degrees..Our departure to Arizona is on hold, Had to bring in the slides this morning as they were full of ice and snow. They really acted strange and the main slide would not come all the way in.Helen had to get on a ladder and bang the ice off the awning..Winter in a camper...Not..Wind is out of the N/NW at 16 actual/ Measured MPH which is enough to blow the snow bands several miles inland. Predicting up to 12/14 inches of snow depending where you are and the wind direction..we already have 4/6 and snowing hard..; The good news is that it looks good South West and the roads will be clear as soon as it stops snowing..We are now looking at Tuesday /Wednesday.

Rich, you and Helen have a nice trip to Arizona. We're heading that way in January but then Alabama isn't too bad this time of year. Yesterday it was 61'but cooler today. By the way, that is one talented lady you have at your house. Snowblower, clearing off the awning??? You've got the good life!

Hey Jim! It was 11 here (Independence) last night. It's 12 noon and 15 degrees right now. I'm sorry, old buddy, but I'm having a mite spot of trouble having any sympathy for ya! Sixties in the daytime. I can only dream..

Well....the temperature gauge outside says 22, but doesn't take into account the wind chill...brrrrrr. It was a chilly 9 this morning at the house. Think it is supposed to warm up here this weekend...mid 40's. HEAT WAVE

Well, I am warm now, it's 73 in the shade and actually hot in the Sun, I put my shorts on, Sue is sitting at the picnic table doing her Swedish weave, making something pretty.
Little 'girlie man Jim' is OK now.
Sorry for the cold weather for you folks to the North, hope you get out of it soon.
Lonnie, just fight through the Winter, your day will come.

DonandandBonnie are @ 80 miles South of us and in lake effect miles that is a long way. We are about 8 miles straight line distance from the lake and with this wind direction we have 6/8 inches of snow and will no doubt get another 6/8 inches before day break..The good news is it is not hard to escape the lake effect snow..just point south..depending on wind direction and speed just a few miles can make a difference between 10 inches of snow and nothing...The sky is blue right now but 10 mins ago it was a white out..Helen is trudging back and forth between the camper and the house in her parka with boxes of food from the freezer and pantry..she is mumbling something , I can't quite make it out but I recognize the word...Arizona..

I am cold. The temp. is around 18, thermometer is frozen. We had snow flurries, the wind is blowing around 20 MPH and the Monty is swaying in the breeze. Florida is going to be so much nicer this year. You know what they say, time flies when your having fun.

Weatherman just said it is 46 degees and feels like 42 here in San Antonio on the 10:00 p.m. news. Supposed to get down to 33 tonight and high of 48 degees tomorrow. It was in the 50's here today but felt a lot colder because of the high wind.

Oh, Charlotte that is too cold for a city that far South! I bet the Riverwalk is lit up pretty, but do people go out much when it's cold there? I love your town.
Some Summer I'm coming down to New Braunfels to go tubing!

We can not get the slides out at all this morning, temp 14 Degrees, They start to move then the overload cuts in, the seals are stiff as boards. We did get them in last night but contrary to post on the forum the ice and snow does not slide off the awnings..it rolls up with the awnings and jams everything up..lessons learned..Get out of here before this kind of weather arrives or winterize the camper and forget about it till spring..

Hi Ozz,
I don't like to be a trouble maker here, but we are heading for Maui to spend a month mid January. We have done that for several years. Ozz, the high is in the 80s and the lows high 60s. Hard to beat that! We don't pack long pants or even a long sleeve shirt. I can hardly wait. Even though we live in Ca. It can be cool. Highs can still be in the 60s but at night it can be in the 20s.
