About two bricks short of an out house, for sure. I can't believe he just drove off without changing the tire.

I helped my sister and her latest hubby take their S10 pickup from a tow dolly when they moved to East TX from Oregon. He was gonna start the truck and back it off. No start. Side blown out of 5 speed tranny, starter broke off of block, and from the little I checked the engine out, I believe it snapped the crank. Oh no, he didn't leave it in gear!

I hate to say it, but I've done that.
I used to have a MH and one day I left the parking brake "on" after securing my van on the tow dolly. Very dumb move, but I was in a hurry, I left the checklist in the house, my fingernails weren't dry... you know, a typical blonde day!
My sister saw it right away and ran up to the driver's window and got my attention before I did any real damage.
We may all think the guy was a dumbbell, but it's just one more thing on THE CHECKLIST. And this particular thing is something we fifth wheel draggers don't have to worry about. But it's just as important as, "Make sure the pin is secure in the hitch," and how many of us MOC people have forgotten that one?

Dumb is as dumb does. Having been on both sides of the fence, stuff happens.
