Water pressure
I know this has been asked before, but can't find it. What is the max water pressure one should not go over or be safe with? Thanks

Some use 65#, but for the most part city water systems seldom get over 40# and we're fine with that so I set mine at 60# also and enjoy it when we actually get it or higher.

I installed a water pressure meter and have had the needle pegged at over 100# twice. I'm glad I had the regulator installed.

Actually, I use 40 - 45 lbs. That's just a bit over what the water pump delivers so everything stays the same. And for those who don't use a regulator, we had two hoses blow out in Phoenix at a supposed 'resort' RV place when I had the regulator at the coach end instead of at the faucet. Learned my lesson the hard way.

Besides the ones in Phoenix we have also seen the water running from under rigs in Las Cruces (100#) and Black Jack Missouri (over 100#).

You really should use a regulator. Even city water pressure can go over a hundred PSI.

Years ago when in our Pop-Up at a Ontario Provincial, woke up in the morning to a lake outside. Yep no regulator and the pressure burst our hose. Better late than never, we purchased a regulator.

Current state park site is at 105#. Will NEVER hook up without regulator!

yeah I hate regulators every time I have used one our showers SUCK so I chuck em Maybee here out West we have lower water pressure I don't know ,Maybee like ya said CORattler I am one lucky Dude If I find one that does not affect my showers and kitchen faucet pressure I will use one.....ANY Recommendations???

I actually find that my water pressure is to low in most places, therefore we have a jet pump with a small 6 gallon pressure tank in the basement boosting pressure to 65 psi.

Now there's an Idea and i agree most parks we go to especialy in the summer when they are full have terrible pressure like the resort I am in right now and that setup would help

got mine at home depot for like $400 that included the fittings i needed. i have it where i just run the water hose to the inlet on the pump and another short hose to the inlet on the rv and it plugs in to the 110 in the basement, easy to remove and install....

A lot of the parks here in Texas can go 100-110 psi so I keep my Watts regulator at 75-80
|

I installed a whole coach water filter, and found when using a regulator and the filter, the flow goes right down to nothing. pressure and flow are not the same thing, I get that, maybe the pressure regulator I am using id just a low flow. Currently not using one, but I am looking for a high flow regulator to try.

If you get a good regulator it shouldn't affect your flow much at all. Most folks use Camping World type stuff and they aren't worth much. Try this place: http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/
