Camping World has placed their 50 Amp Surge Guard on sale for around $300 and I'm tempted to order one. But before I do, I'd like to hear some thoughts from some of my fellow forum members.
Surge Guard Info
The Surge Guard looks like it is designed to be placed between the campground pedestal and the RV's power cord. I don't think I'd want to use it that way as there is no way to protect it from the elements or "taking a walk". So if I bought one, I think that I'd have to modify the interior wiring on the Montana to put it in line before the AC Distribution Panel.
Questions ... Do any of you use a Surge Protector to protect the entire RV? If so, what kind are you using? And are you using it outside or inside your Montana?
Thanks,
Craig
