Two RV parks in SE Texas

Hi, everyone! We've posted new pics of two RV parks on the website this month. The first half-dozen, or so, are from Brackenridge Plantation in Edna, TX (1.5 to 2 hrs southwest of Houston on HWY 59). Nice park, with HUGE open RV slips and smaller, nicely shaded slips. Great place for all sizes of RVs, including the really big rigs.

The majority of the pics are from our new home, Rayford Crossing RV Resort in Spring, TX (far North Houston suburb, 15 to 20 minutes up Interstate 45). Rayford Crossing opened about three weeks ago. The park has 115 sites (80 of which are pull-through!!), and darned near every ammenity I've ever seen at a park that I could afford.

We'd highly recommend either to anyone passing through SE Texas!

Enjoy! www.petealford.com www.rayfordcrossing.com

Hi Cheryl and Pete. Rayfordcrossing is very close to the location we store our Montana. We pasted by that park about a month and a half ago while they were still pouring some of the patio pads. They must have really stepped up the construction. It looked then like it was going to be first class.

We will have to give it a try. We are always looking for nearby parks for quick weekend stays.

I would also like to recommend Forest Retreat RV Park located in Porter, TX. Not to far from Rayfordcrossing.

Yep, they really kicked in gear over the last month or so (trying to make the March 1 opening). VERY nice job on the construction! They currently only lack landscaping.

My folks have a few acres in Porter. We took a look at it as a potential pad site, but the traffic gets too heavy at the corner of 242 and 1314 during morning and evening rush hours (we work in The Woodlands). On a trip back from the property one evening, 242 was backed up well over a mile! No wrecks or stalls....just a lot of people waiting on one country road red light. Really too bad, it was a very quiet neighborhood!

If y'all get out this way, stop by and see us! We'll be the Mountaineer furthest away from the playground.

Right now we are down in the Valley, then we head over to Kerrville for a Rally next weekend. But we will be back home in a week or so and maybe we can meet up at Rayford Sawdust for a weekend.

Just back from a liesurely week off, hanging around the campgrounds! Sure is nice to hear birds instead of someone else's radio in the evenings!! Always feel free to see us at site #40 if you're in the neighborhood.
