Savannah, Georgia
Hello everyone...just curious if anyone knows of a nice CG in the Savannah Georgia area?? We are planning a trip for mid-March. We're also looking for campgrounds in the Plant City/Tampa area for the same timeframe. Any suggestions/websites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Little Rascal ... We are presently parked at Rivers End CG and RV Park on Tybee Island, Georgia ... approx. 15 miles from downtown Savannah. I love it here ... we're 1/2 mile from the beach (I've been walking there every day), we have a decent cable (no WB, so I can't watch Gilmore Girls, darn it), and free Wi-Fi (Steve is beyond thrilled). It's not a real big park but big enough to be "full service." And the monthly rate is quite reasonable. We're really picky, but we would definitely come back here and have no hesitations about recommending it.
We haven't taken the Montana to Tampa yet, so can't help you there.

Thanks Vicki...I'm a huge fan of Paula's Home Cooking (on the FoodNetwork) and part of our trip to Savannah will include dinner at her restaraunt...I can't wait!! The CG that you recommend sounds beautiful. Thanks! For Tampa, we may look into the FamCamp that's at Macdill AFB. It's about 30 miles from our friends place...we'll see. Thanks again.

Here's the url for rivers end cg.

i just looked at the rate page and it looks a little steep. we're here for two months and are paying 385/month. the rate page says 480 plus electricity but i don't see any meters around here. maybe they track it somehow in the office. i'll see when our first month ends if they want to jack the price up to what's on the website but there was no mention of that when we checked in. maybe we're on an unpublished offseason rate.

Man-O-Man, someone mentioned Paula Dean and the Lady and Sons restaurant. I am headed there just as soon as I can get to Savannah. The wife and I can't wait. We hope it is as good as it is advertised.
