hanging micro-switch use ?
We have a Montana 3811 RL . . . we have found a little micro-switch hanging (by 4" of wire) to the upper right of the automatic window shade in the front bedroom. We can not figure out what this little thing does ? anyone have any ideas ?

can you take a picture of it? It may be the temperature sensor for the zone AC.

unable to figure out how to add a picture to my post, however I know it is a micro-switch as I'm very familiar with them. I would assume that the temp sensor is in the Dometic thermostat control module.

If you are familiar with micro-switch then you know it does one thing, senses movement to return a open or a closure from the switch to the sense leads.
Looking where it came from would indicate some idea I would think by finding sticky tape, screw hole, etc.on how it was mounted.
You said "automatic shade" so is this a electric shade? If so, my guess is the stop switch when it goes up to stop retrieving string.

No, the temp sensor is a little silver bullet looking thing and mine is in the very corner of the RF ceiling above the window.

I think I heard that was on the beta version of the 3811. It was to control the oscillating bed and disco ball. It was decided to abandon the option due to federal regulations concerning bedroom square footage .

Is it spring loaded temporary on/off or is it a click on, click off? Just wondering if factory or installed buy someone to serve a purpose? You didn't say if you bought this camper new?

It is a spring loaded switch, no on or off per se.
Year is 2017 brand new, waiting for a response from Keystone . . .

A momentary action push button micro switch hanging by short wires from a window shade that apparently does nothing but hang there? I can't even come up with a semi logical guess.
Be sure to come back and tell us when you find out.
