memberships !

We are thinking of joining Coast to Coast, RPI, or Western Horizons for reduction in camping costs. Does anyone out there have any insights or suggestion, on whether this is a good idea or not ?
We will be going on the road for 2 months this summer ! We are traveling the western U.S.

Join Passport America. For only 2 months you would never get you $$ worth out of one of those other clubs. Passport is 50% off. Glenn and Lorraine are members. If Glenn is around I am sure he will say the same thing. There are other posts on this. Use the SEARCH.

Be aware of any long term contacts with CCC & RPI....kinda hard to get out of them if you decide that was not what you wanted when you signed up.

We looked at Western Horizons a couple of years ago. Good cost ratios if you use the membership in VERY specific ways. As noted above, if your interest is short term (2 months), you're probably better off with one of the annual discount memberships like PA or Good Sam. If this will be a fulltime gig in areas that have the member campgrounds, it may be worth investigating.

I use Passport America and Good Sam. These will work fine for short termers.

We also use Passport America and recoup the annual fee in the first month of each year. We also have Good Sam, AARP, and Escapees for disounts.
