Hmmmm. Keystone must have done away with the privacy curtain in the bedroom. We have one in our 2004 3380 and it does make it nice when we have guests sleeping in the living room....especially when they're our age and need to make a couple trips to the powder room during the night.

My memory may be faulty but we very recently looked at a new 3400RL and I thought it had a bi-fold curtain between bedroom and shower area. Am I wrong?
As noted above, the vanity is on the bedroom side of the curtain, which we don't like. In fact, even the new 3295RK, the updated version of our '03 3295RK, now has the vanity on the bedroom side of the divider. We really like one of us being able to use the vanity area without waking the other and do not like the new arrangement. I guess this is a personal preference item but it would be a big deal for us if we were trading.

steve - The curtian is between the bath and bedroom on the 3400. The vanity, shower, and water closet are both on the opposite side of the curtain from the bed.

I have the privacy curtain in my bedroom. It is on the wall between the armoire and the shower. It comes all the way across and has a clasp to keep it closed to the left of the bathroom door handle. Works very well for privacy and I also keep it closed during the week when we are not at the lake as the sun comes right in through the skylight in the shower and beats down on the carpet and bed. Hopes it will help keeping things from fading so fast.

Many of us have covered those skylights to keep the light out. We have velcroed reflective sunscreen to the openings so it's dark and cozy for sleeping. Probably helps the air conditioner during the summer months, too. Others can probably share their ideas for shutting out the light.

Now I am really confused. On the 2005 model 3400Rl I looked at there was no curtain between the bath and bedroom. There is a sliding door at the stairs that seperates the bath/bed from the rest of the coach.
On the floor plans there is no indication of a privacy curtain. Are the curtains you folks have dealership add ons perhaps?

Every Montana I've been in, including the 3400 (04 & 05) have the privacy curtain as standard equipment as well as a sliding door to close off the main trailer area. I've looked over the option list and the sliding curtain is not listed as an option.

If someone who has a 3400 could post a picture of this privacy curtain I would like to show it to my dealer. The 3400 he had on the lot did not have one. Perhaps the manufacturer failed to install it on this particular trailer.

My 3400 DID NOT come with a privacy curtain. Just a door at the stairs.

Thanks for the feedback Gene...thought I was becoming more senile
I just checked the floorplans on the Keystone -Montana site. Every model shows a privacy door except the 3400. The placement of the lav and tub make it impossible to have either the straight privacy door that most models have or the curved. I think the solution would be to put a track on the ceiling and hang a fabric curtain that could be tied back during the day.

Our 3400 has the privacy cutain. It was in the 5er when we bought it. It separates the bed from the shower etc. We also have a door to separate the bedroom area from the living area.

It was definitely factory installed. In fact I do not even see it as a factory option in the Brochure. We went to the Montana Rally and they had a 3400 there which also had the privacy curtain.

Our 3295RK (2003 vintage) has a double sliding wood door between the bed area and the shower/vanity-sink/toilet area. That's really nice when one of us arises before the other in the mornings. We were very disappointed to see the current version of the 3295RK has the vanity/sink on the bed side. It no longer has the sliding doors. Neither of us can recall if it now has the bi-fold curtain. In any case, the sink on the bed side would be a major drawback in a buying decision, for us at least. For those not fulltiming maybe it's not a big deal. But for us it's serious.

I would be more than happy to take a picture of my privacy curtain if I could get to my coach. It is storage and is in the back of the shop to where I am not able to get to it. I was just at the rv show today and looked in the 2005 3400RL and there is a privacy curtain in it. They had moved the location from where mine is on the 2004. For 2005 it is now between the dresser and the sink. It slides from that wall around a slight curve to go around the bed and has a clasp on the slide seal to the right of the armoire on the top. They also have the privacy door that slides closed as does mine for 2004. I would give the factory a call and see what they say about this curtain, every 05 model I was in today had them.

Well the Great Privacy Curtain mystery has been solved
I finally was able to speak with a Keystone representative at the factory and he explained that in Nov 2004 the 3400 rl design was changed in order to offer the king size bed and therefore the privacy curtain was eliminated at that time. If your 3400 has a curtain it was built before Nov 2004.
I asked him about a fabric curtain on a glider track on the ceiling and he confirmed that most of his recent orders for 3400s have opted for this.
So I guess we are all correct in what we were seeing and saying
Thanks for all you help.

As in so many other things, it is what suits you best. Our 2005 3400 we purchased in Sept 04 has the newer type privacy curtain desribed by Montana Sky-stores between dresser and sink, is a folded heavy cloth, runs on a curved track to hook on armoire. We have never used it. My feeling is it would make more commotion than using the toilet and sink do since it is very close to the bed. On the few occasions when I needed to get in the shower before Ed was up, he simply moved to the couch in the living room.
