Observation's

Just returned from a week long trip on our 07 Mountaineer BHD..the first long pull and multi night adventure... Central California to Las Vegas via 99,58,I15..here are some observation's

************************************************** ********************
We have the CORRECT floor plan...kids ( and mess ) in the back , DW sleeping away in the bedroom. I'm up early...not waking up the family.

Side aisle bathroom allowing the girls room to get dressed. We all showered each day in the coach.

Never going to fill up the storage this unit has , lot's of space inside.

One A/C will not cool the coach ( need the 2nd unit ) Bedroom A/C & HEAT is awful.

Ford F-250 PSD handles the Mountaineer very , very well. I15 from Barstow to Las Vegas has a LONG SLOW CLIMB that I pulled at 60 MPH, with power to spare.

Here are the numbers for the trip.

1,020 miles ( including run around Town )
10.7 overall average
Trans Temp 175 avg ( high 195 )
EGT Avg 850 - 900 ( high 1200 )
Turbo Boost avg 10 ( high 30 )
Diesel Cost low 2.87 High 3.29

I'm ready to go again !!!

That is great the unit fits you. We purchased a unit and a year later traded it off for another model because it did not fit. And that will hit your pocket book.

"We have the CORRECT floor plan"

That really seems to be the key no matter what type of RV you have and no matter which brand you buy. Here at the rally there are 30 other Montanas and rightfully proud owners but, there are many different floorplans. We looked at many different brands and every floorplan we could find but, once my wife sat in this floorplan it was all over. The more time we spend it our Montana the more we like it but, I am sure if there were something about the floorplan we didn't like it would continually nag at us.

Congratulations on making the right choice for your family.
