Gyro, Have one other question went to look at the Amp service you had on the link. Understand it fine but it claims to be a 70 amp service is the 50 amp 2 pole breaker OK to wire from box to this service box?

Broome101,
As Don, (Dustyuu,) said, you might want to speak to an electrician about adding a 50-Amp breaker to your 70-Amp Service box. Reason being, with only that added bit to use for the rest of the house, if you pull a lot in the fiver, and happen to use the oven, dryer, or another high-draw appliance in the house, the box might not be able to take it, and pop the main breaker. (I’m cautious with this stuff. Maybe overly so.) But if you have a 70-Amp Service, the power company also might not have run large enough wires to your house.
Not to mention the fact that it might not have the physical ability to have a two-pole breaker installed.
Our house was relatively new, so the box was a 100-Amp box. And, as I said, we never planned on using the A/C in the fiver while it was outside that house, and seldom used our oven. Funny, though…It seemed we were always using the dryer.
I’m hoping you can make this work without a large expense. But do get a pro to bounce this question off. (And we know there are pros right around this forum!
Oh, and do make sure, (if your service box can handle the added load,) that you note the brand name of your breaker box, before buying a two-pole 50-Amp breaker. The brands aren’t necessarily compatible. I was lucky. The store took mine back, and I had to go to another shop to get the right one. (Mine wasn't a "Square-D.")
