2955RL Bedroom Slide Question

We are very happy with our new Monty, Nancy and I are really detail people and this 2955RL is all we hope for in our RV. Actually after our shake down cruise, we found less than 1/2 dozen non critical items to be fixed or adjusted. The dealer service was very good.

From what I learned from the MOC is we have some of the 2006 changes on our 2005. I thought that was a bonus.

I know people talk about not putting too much weight or walking on the dining room slider when its retracted. My question is can you lay on the bed when it is retracted in with hurting anything?

Bob and Nancy, congratulations on your new Montana. We walk on all slides, as needed, when retracted. You won't hurt anything at all using the bed when the slide is retracted. If the DR slide edge is elevated very much and moves when you put weight on it, then I'd be leery of putting much weight on it.

I can see from your picture one of the new changes yours has that we saw at the factory tour. The nice big rear window. I know they make running changes throughout the year and suspect the timing of some of these changes has to do with the procedure and costs of their supplies purchases. If they get a discount for volume purchases and will run out of the old shortly before the new is to be introduced, why spend more to finish out the year with the old?

Nice rig you have there. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Don't have anything to add to Steve's post, but wanted to say "Beautiful rig!"

Let me second Bob and Pam’s comments about a beautiful rig, especially with that large rear window! If Marsha and I ever buy another Montana—no time soon mind you—the 2955 is the one we truly like!

The bedroom slide is on rollers to support the weight of the bed with its under-mattress storage. My conclusion is that the bedroom slide is not at risk from usage with the slide in. Congratulation on a beautiful rig. Happy RVing...
