Montana prospective buyer

I am seriously considering buying a 2006 Montana 2955 (32' with 2 slides) with lots of extras including a king bed. Does anyone have any advice on such a purchase?

We have the same model but before they changed to king bed. Ours also has the privacy door. I love the setup as it suits us and is not so long or wide we cannot get in our favorite camping places. We have not been sorry for our purchase.

Montana is a fine brand.We have decided to buy one in a couple of months.Our decision came AFTER much homework and comparing of different brands in the price range.Do Your homework, Make sure the camper you purchase meets your needs..If it is a Montana you will have made a good choice.

First of all Welcome to the MOC family.

Secondly if you will note in our signature we have a 2955RL. Although an '04 with not all the updates of the newer unit it is still the same floor plan and we love it and wouldn't change a thing. We've been fulltiming in ours for nearly 2 years and it serves our purposes just fine.

My Advice? Go for it. Do take the advice of Parrothead and "Work with your dealer, get a good price, do a really thorough inspection at delivery and join in our fun." You won't regret it.


BTW--You posted "32' with 2 slides". Take a tape measure along. I think you will be surprised to find that the 2955RL measures 34' 3" from the tip of the nose to the ladder.

We love our 2955RL. Bigger would be better sometimes but when reality sits in... then the rest of the story.

Get a PDI sheet before you sign on the dotted line. And get every thing in working order before leaving...

Welcome to the MOC! We have an o5 2955rl Like it a lot. My advice is find a dealer you like and fill will work with you on your problems. Not just sales go to the service department talk to has many of the staff as you can. Did they take the time to make you fill comfortable with the dealership, you will have problems and they will need to fill your needs. At sales try for 30% off there MSRP, then try to get throw in's like labor on the hitch, brake controller, second wire plug-in in the bed, or many other thing from there store. The trailer is setup very nice you shouldn't need the second AC or added Fantastic fan. Welcome to the forum. We just recently purchased a 2006 3295rk and we just love it. We have had it out twice and no problems to speak of. The only negative part is we need more time to spend in it. Like others have said take your time, make your dealer make you your best deal and check everything out during your inspection. Most of all enjoy your camper.

Can only echo what others have said - we all love our Montanas. Whatever you choose, it has to feel right to you - suit your needs and budget. Definitely take your time, compare, get the best deal you can that you are comfortable with. Find a good dealer with a good service department. Good luck and enjoy the adventure.

Welcome to the Family folks. We also have the 2955 and certainly love this model. Ours is a 2003 and has been excellent in everyway, but, if I was to go bigger it would be the 3400 for sure. When we got the 2955 we were in awe at its sheer size but of course everytime we buy a new trailer we always buy bigger!! Good luck, Good choice!
