Air Purifiers

I did a search and didn't find any posts regarding air purifiers. Has anyone got one that they are using in their unit and if so, how effective is it?

We don't have one for our 5er but we do have one in our stick build home and Carole claims it helps her to breath easier. I can't tell the difference, but then I don't have asthmatic breathing problems either. Sorry if this isn't much help.

We put one in our unit about 4 months ago. We full time with a dog & cat and thought it would be a good idea. It was, we noticed a differance and wouldn't be without one, even thogh we no longer have the dog. We got a "tower" type, a Holmes with forced air. We keep the fan on low and you can hardly hear it. Filters are pricy, but it's still cheaper than the $350 Ionic Air type.

sph77: Thanks Ellie. Do you have to keep the unit closed up or do you only run it when you have the unit closed?
